OLW7: ♪ Happy Birthday To You ♫

This card is for Susan Raihala's One-Layer Wednesday Challenge #7: Repetition. I bought Papertrey's Background Basics: Retro set mainly for two things: the scales/water/sand that I used for this card and the five lines which I immediately saw as music staff. I've been wanting to use the music notes from the Pink Cat Studio rubber set called Lily & Billy Accessories to make a musical card and this challenge was perfect for it. There's repetition in the staff lines and both types of music notes. The sentiment was created using Birthday Basics. I added to you after I noticed that the space between the top two legers was greater than the next. I'm always looking for words within words and found to in today. I guess that's the way a Scrabble addict's mind works. ;) Have a lovely day!

Emily, you're a genius with that background set! Very fun and colorful card -- maybe I'll see if my DH can play it on the piano -- who knows? Maybe you made a musical masterpiece, too!

What a fun and happy card! Very creative use of the border stamp AND solution to the spacing issue...I hadn't even noticed until you said something, and even knowing it, my eye still think it looks right because of the expanded sentiment! Bravo!

Oh again such a simple but gorgeous layout. These are the kinds of cards I always love when somebody else makes them but can never make myself... when I try I keep adding things because I'm never satisfied :). I love the colored notes and the perfect way you used that background set. The sentiment is perfect even though you didn't mean to make it like this.
