Unity Hip Hop {Jan 20th}

Welcome to today's Hip Hop blog hop! Be sure to start at the Unity Blog for all the details. I'm featuring Unity's newest co-brand Marah Johnson! The black shield is from Marah Johnson's Breathless and the fleur-de-lis heart is from Moxie. Aren't they gorgeous?!?! The images are large, detailed and so fabulous for all kinds of projects. I'm in love with all of the new Marah Johnson sets. In fact, I puffy heart them!!

To make this clean and simple card, I started with a kraft base, stamped the shield from Moxie in black and the sentiment from Favorite Things in red. Then I stamped the fleur-de-lis heart from Breathless in red on ivory cardstock and cut it out. I crinkled it gently to create give and placed the stamped heart on a plain piece of ivory cardstock. Then I stitched around it halfway, stuffed poly-fil into it and finished stitching the heart. Since the bottom of the heart is flat, it's easy to adhere to the card base with some Scor-Tape.

I had hoped to have a tutorial ready for today but the first one I shot (before yesterday's background tutorial) wasn't very good (zoomed too far in) and I haven't had time to redo it. I will do it soon and you'll be able to make your very own puffy hearts! Stay tuned. ;) In the meantime, go the Unity Store and snag some of these gorgeous new stamps for yourself!!

Now it's time to Hip Hop on over
to
Julie's fabulous blog!
