Hope You Feel Better Soon

Today, the following members of the Avocado Arts Pit Crew are inspiring you with more projects made with the February Stamp Set, Wishes and Kind Thoughts:

---> Emily Leiphart <---

My card was inspired by several of my son's books that feature animals riding in umbrellas. He will always remark, "That's not a boat!" LOL So here it is, an owl sailing the high seas in his umbrella. The ocean waves were created using the long curvy branch from the same set. The photos don't show it very well but the white layer is actually behind the die cut blue frame.

There's so much to love with this new set! If you don't already own any Avocado Arts stamps, I guarantee, you will love them. Every image is exceptionally versatile and they're all designed to work with previous and future stamp sets. This is a perfect example of your creativity Emily! I love that you've put the little owl in an umbrella boat (and your son is displaying great practicality with his comment!) and the ocean stamped with branches is a touch of genius!

So cute, Emily! The frame is very pretty! I indeed didn't see that the blue frame was over the white, but on the detail photo you could see it. The stamps are funny and loved your story about your son!

Ok, must be too early in the morning...I saw your card and thought IT'S A CORGI!!! Except with wings. And bird legs. Ok, even though it's not one, this is still one cute card!

So cute! Love the solid-colour paper-piecing. I can _almost_ see why Meg imagined a corgi... must be the ears. :P (Ooh, maybe you could adapt him into one!)

Hee hee! That's so funny sailing in the umbrella. It must be an industrial-strength umbrella! LOL! I really like the swirling vines, too!

Oh, how I miss reading kids' picture books with my boys! They have the best inspiration (and pretty sure that's how I learned to watercolour...lol) I love the sail-brella, and the super waves you made!
