Welcome Baby

Have you ever made a card you love so much that you keep submitting it over and over with the hope that someone, anyone, will pick it up? This was one of mine and I'll admit that I have quite a few cards that I go through these same emotions with. I hang on to them and resubmit them hoping to see them in print some day. This one's been rejected at least twice now and my cousin had a baby girl recently so I decided it was time to let go. I experimented a lot with this card. It's shaped, uses a lot of patterned paper and includes crochet trim and tons of dies. I love it and always will. I hope my cousin and his wife love it, too.

Today's Family Day in Ontario so we're celebrating a long weekend. I hope you're enjoying your Monday!

Love the shape and all the little details - I know your cousin will love this. But, I think it should have been picked up the very first time for publication. :*)

The best part is the little hearts as wings on the bird family. Sweet! Your cousins will cherish. Great new blog photo, BTW!

So it's not just me that does this?!?! I've only had a re-submitted card picked up once but it's always worth a try...!
I cannot fathom why this cutie-pie of a card hasn't been picked up but I bet your cousin loves it just as much as we do! :)
Hugs!

I think I know what you mean Emily. I think this is so fabulous and I am so glad that you are passing it on for someone else to love now!

Once again I'm struck by the fact that I have not the slightest clue of how some projects get picked up by magazines over others. :D This is such an adorable card. I love the cluster of diecuts backed with the bit of crochet ribbon trim.
(And there's a new pic of you, too!)

Well I hear you on the sentimental attachment to particular cards. This one is so pretty and sweet, I can see why you love it so much! I like that it's a baby card, but it's not pink with the traditional baby images. Love those little birds!
