{Hero Arts} Think Happy Thoughts

This card represents something deep and meaningful to me. I'm going through a grieving process that never happened last year due to various interruptions and I've been struggling with it these past few months. It's part of the reason why my presence in blogland has been nearly non-existent but that is going to change soon enough. I will share that story eventually. For now, the tears would be too much. I specifically ordered the Hero Arts Life Can Be and My Words stamp sets because they touched me in a profound way. I paired them up with two older sets, Etched Flower and Brilliant! to create a collage card I can display to remind myself that time heals if I let it.

I created two phrases for this card using the words from My Words. I customized the word think by masking the word thing with the k from keep. Then I used the corners of the ink pads to paint Etched Flowers which is how I got a blend of pink and orange on the flowers.

I'm submitting this card to the Hero Arts Stamp Your Story Contest and I hope you will play along, too! The contest runs through June 30th and you can enter as many times as you like using any product from the Stamp Your Story Catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fantastic stamping! That was such a great idea to use two words to make the "think" part of the sentiment. I love the colors you used, too. The message is good, and I hope making it helped with the healing process.

What a good idea it is to make a card to help with the healing process, to pour your heart into It. Maybe you should make a bigger one and frame it, te flowers outs work. Sending you hugs and wishes. I hope things get better. :)

Taking the time to make something for yourself is a great idea - and important to do now & then to remind us how much we enjoy it.
Huge hugs - you know we all love you lots :)

Dear Emily, this card is so beautifully made and I can tell that you put a lot of yourself into making it.

Sometimes the grieving process is an ongoing one and each of us deals with it in different ways. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you should "be over it" by now, because it is something that we just have to live with and take one day at a time.

I hope that your love of card making is a good therapy for you and that it will help you in the healing process. I love seeing what you create and will keep you in my thoughts.

Big hugs to you!
