{Mama Elephant} My Heart is Full

Hooray for the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend! We are feasting at my parents' house tonight so I whipped up this card for them. My parents are liberal in their thinking but very traditional when it comes to cards. Flowers are always the safe way to go, especially since my Dad loves gardening.

I only recently acquired this Water Blooms stamp set from Mama Elephant and this is my first time inking it up. I used Hero Arts shadow inks and they look so pretty! The sentiment from Many Thanks is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black which is the best black ink for fine lines and detail.

I die cut both the card base and frame using new Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant which release on October 15th! Are you as excited as I am? You won't be surprised that these Femme Frames have become a bit of an obsession here. I've been using them on almost everything.

The scallop rectangle is great for layering on an A2 card but I absolutely love the way it looks as a card base. My card base here is grey but I've layered a scallop vellum layer between the base and the white stitched rectangle. It adds that extra something that makes the card look expensive. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating! I'm off to bake Blueberry Oat Bars for dessert tonight.
