{Paper Smooches} Combining Flirty Frames, Duo Die 1, Duo Die 2 and Frame 1 + Video!

If you subscribe to the Paper Smooches newsletter, you would've seen this card on release day. It features the Flirty Frames stamp set and also uses the Duo Die 1 and Frame 1 dies. Both cards in this post use the emboss resist technique with distress inks. I first and second generation stamped the balloons with Memento Luxe pigment inks. To finish, I added some enamel dots and wood veneer stars.

My second card features the other frame stamp from Flirty Frames with the Duo Die 2 die. This card features darker colours with a more masculine feel. The Green Apple card base from Simon Says Stamp highlights the lightest colour in the frame.

I heat embossed this one with gold embossing powder and misted the frame with water after applying distress inks for a majestic watercoloured look. The sentiment was heat embossed, also in gold, directly on to the steel grey cardstock panel.

Love the impact of the second, but I also love your shaker-less shaker (that's what the first one made me think of!). Great demonstration of the versatility of this die!

Love the distress-inked frame of the first one and the balloons, too) but also the more multi-coloured look of the second frame. Both these are really gorgeous!

I just learned some great crafting tips and processes from your excellent video. I find it fascinating to watch someone else do what I do but in a different way. I am going to try drying the backside of paper to prevent curling and use a craft knife to remove stray embossing. I usually learn by trial and error so your video is really a great learning experience for me. Thanks!
