{PageMaps} April 2014 CardMaps with Paper Smooches

Last month, I had the privilege of designing a card using one of Becky Fleck's quarterly CardMaps sketches. The eblast went out on April 1st so I can now share this card with you! I don't use sketches very often but if I need sketch inspiration, then PageMaps is certainly the place to get it. There's something for everyone, from cardmakers to scrapbookers!

I flipped the sketch upside down so I could feature my sentiment on the bottom of the card. The sentiment is comprised of the Many Thanks stamp set and the Friend Word die. The stitching was done by stamping the dotted line from Santa Paws. It was hard to get the curved part just right but I used the method shown in this video tutorial, except I used a chomped piece of cardstock rather than a die. All of the patterned papers are from Dear Lizzy's Daydreamer 6x6 paper pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a sweet card! The die cut friend looks so good cut from the glitter cardstock and the stamped stitching is amazing-looking. And you used washi tape!

Seriously, how trendy is this card?! The washi, the yellow + pink, the oragami (OK, paper airplanes are a kind of oragami, right?!?), the inlaid die cut, this card's got it all!! So attractive. And thanks so much for stopping by with your well-wishes on Stamping Royalty, Emily. You're so sweet : )

thought i'd share what I made after watching Kim...know it didn't turn out the way hers did, but it did inspire me to try something different.
