{Paper Smooches Video} Easter Card with Easter Egg Die and Large Bow Die

This post is the third in a series of three videos. I shared the other two videos earlier this week and you can find them HERE. Today's post focuses on the Easter card that features the Easter Egg Die, and includes the large bow die.

To coordinate with the Easter Gift Tag, I used the same the island blue cardstock, grass and bow. I also coloured the images using the same colours that were featured on the tag.

I used the Easter Egg Dies to die cut a frame into the front panel which houses the scene. The large bow die is the perfect embellishment for the top of the egg.

'Bucky' the bunny, the purple bird and the sentiment are all from A Magical Spring. The pink chick and butterfly are from Spring Fling.

The grassy hill was die cut using the Quotables Dies and I heat embossed the sentiment on to the blue sky, just like the tag.

I hope this special video series inspires you to create cheerful spring and Easter-theme cards. Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Paper Smooches} Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop + Giveaways!

Welcome to the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! If you were here for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, then you know the drill. If not, all you have to do is link up to a new project featuring coffee, tea or cocoa, for a chance to win one of the Super Sponsor Prizes, including one from Paper Smooches!

The week-long hop also has a bunch of Flash Sponsor Prizes and all participants are eligible. Four other prizes will be randomly awarded to individuals who comment on ALL of the entries.

My card shares multiple sneak peeks of the Paper Smooches March Release and you can see more sneak peeks in the February DT Blog Hop, happening now through Sunday! The obvious ones are the coordinating dies for Paws for a Cause (Paws Cause Icons) and Feline Friends (Feline Friends Icons). I'm so in love with these since a lot of them can also be used as stand-alone dies with solid cardstock. They're beautiful!

I rock 'n' rolled two different inks for both the dog and the cat. You can see the blending of the two colours in the close-up photos (click to enlarge further). I think it gives realism and dimension to the solid images.

I'm just a tad addicted to aqua these days so I used it in the retro flooring, which was created with one of the Hot Spots Small Set 1 dies. The venti sentiment from Hot Concoctions and the heat embossed sentiment complete the visual aqua triangle. At the centre of the card, I used the lovely Stitched Flourishes, which are really butterfly trails that I used as rising steam from the adorable Coffee & Tea dies.

The light grey and black word bubbles, and the dark grey coffee cup form a triangle of neutral colours. The dog, the gold teacup and the kraft flooring share similar tones but have different textures, and the cat itself draws the eye to the subtle paw prints on the outer edges of the card.

Links for new release items will be added as soon as the products go live in stores.

Thanks so much for hopping with us!
