{Altenew Video} January Release Blog Hop II + Giveaways

I'm so excited to be joining Altenew for their second January 2017 Blog Hop! Altenew is releasing 18 stamp sets, 18 die sets and 12 inks today!! What's on your wish list? I'm definitely getting the inks. They are hands-down the best on the market.

Prizes:
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew blog (link in hop list below) by 11:59pm EST on Thursday, February 2nd for a chance to win! The winners will be announced on the Altenew blog on Saturday, February 4th.

I'm also drawing a winner to receive a $30 gift certificate so be sure to leave a comment below by 11:59pm EST on Thursday, February 2nd. I will announce my winner here on Saturday, February 4th.

I have two cards and a video for you today! My first card features the Be Strong and Halftone Circles stamp sets. I immediately fell in love with the sentiments from Be Strong, two of which are featured on this card, but there are so many darling images to love as well.

When I first saw the Halftone Circles stamp set, my mind filled up with so many ideas! This is a truly versatile stamp set. There are two styles of halftones: the version I used on my card diffuses out from the centre and the second diffuses from the top down. With a huge variety of sizes, the possibilities are endless. The largest of the circles would make the perfect focal point for a very clean and simple, graphic style card. Cardmaking has never been so easy!

I used two shades from each set of inks. I used the lightest shade to stamp the halftone circles and used the darker shade to watercolour the cacti. The main sentiment is one shade darker than the secondary sentiment, which is the same colour I used to stamp the cacti.

My second card features the Farmers Market stamp set and I also have a video showing how I shaded the one-layer vegetables and stamped the sentiment across all four vegetables. Here's how my card came together:

I used the rock-and-roll technique and three shades of ink to create dimension on each of the fruits and vegetables. For my finishing touches, I added a cute little silk bow to the stem of the bell pepper and shimmer on the darkest areas of the images.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today! Happy shopping!! :D
