Damian's Christmas Card to Us feat. Lawn Fawn

I'm popping in to share the adorable Christmas card Damian made for us! I wasn't surprised when he pulled three Lawn Fawn sets to make his card. He started playing trumpet this year at school and since he's also been a percussionist for 18 months, he combined all of that into a very musical bear. My husband and I are the festive squirrels, of course.

Damian used an acrylic block to stamp the images and the mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment. The bear, music notes, tambourine and triangle are from Critter Concert; the squirrels and their Santa hats are from Cheery Christmas; and the sentiment is from Say What? Christmas Critters.

To create a simple 'glowy' background, Damian did some simple masking and ink blending with life-changing blender brushes and distress inks. For easy, perfect mats, Damian used the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 from My Favorite Things.

Last-Minute Gift Wrap feat. We R Memory Keepers

On Christmas morning, I realized I hadn't bought tins to hold baked goods for the neighbours! My We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board saved the day. I made the largest box I could, using My Mind's Eye 12" x 12" Sugar Plum Collection, which I was lucky to have hoarded. It's now retired so I've linked up to two other options below (Holly Jolly | Happy Days). I tied up the boxes with Stampin' Up! Nature's Twine. So quick and easy! The finished boxes were 4" x 4" and held two slices of cranberry streusel coffee cake and six cookies, two each of three varieties.

Last-Minute Gift Tags feat. Evelin T Designs

Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate! I'm here sharing some last-minute gift tags because how many of us calculate correctly and have enough on hand? It's always better to have extras for those surprise gifts. Plus, they're fun to make and can easily be turned into a card!

I watercolored images from Good Tidings to You (also available at EH | SSS) and Fun in the Snow (also available at EH | SSS) , using Simon Hurley create ink pads and I also stamped the snowflakes with the same inks. These inks are equally fantastic for stamping and watercoloring, which I love, and you can find all of the colours listed in the supply links below.

I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the animals' red winter accessories and banners. The banners are from Evelin's set called Framed for Winnie & Walter and they make awesome shaped tags. In the close-up, you can see how shimmery it makes the image. It's so pretty and festive!

To finish, I stamped the sentiments, then did a bit of masking to stamp the snowflakes. I secured the animals using glue dots, punched a 1/8" hole and threaded black cord.

For those of you who are celebrating this holiday season, I hope it's wonderful! Even if you have no plans, I hope you enjoy the break!

Holiday Name Tags feat. Paper Smooches

I had the pleasure of making holiday name tags for the newly-appointed school council. We wanted to be visible at the holiday concert and these did the trick! I only had 48 hours notice so I printed them on 80lb. Neenah solar white cardstock and die cut them with My Favorite ThingsA2 Stitched Rectangle STAX.

The stacked flowers were made by layering Paper Smooches Poinsettia Dies with real red and glitter red cardstock, embellished with Studio Katia Gold Crystals, and gold string from May Arts Ribbon. To make the flowers really pop, I stamped pine boughs from the Paper Smooches Holly Jolly stamp set using Later Gator ink from Simon Hurley create.

This design would make quick and easy holiday tags, too.
