Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | May 2020 | Part 4 of 4

This is the fourth card I made using the May 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee. I used the leftover images I stamped and die cut from my first card, using the Just Peachy stamp set and coordinating dies. Once again, I stuck with the same colour theme as my other three cards (here, here and here), using Tutti FruttiTiki TorchOrange TwistTiaraGarden PartyLime RickeyMint To BeAquatini and Icing On The Cake.

I used the rock 'n' roll technique and Tutti FruttiTiki Torch and Orange Twist inks to get the ombre stamping on the peaches. I used the crosshatch stamp to accent on of the peaches. I doubled up the leaves in Garden Party and Lime Rickey, and added blooms in Mint To Be and Aquatini. The stem was stamped with Icing On The Cake.

I created a custom sentiment using words from both the Just Peachy and Feeling Peachy Sentiments stamp sets. I rock 'n' rolled the top and bottom words with Tiki TorchOrange Twist and Tiara to create an ombre effect. I wrapped the other three words around the leaves and stamped them with Aquatini. The two lighter blooms were adhered flat to the card base and the other images were popped up with foam tape.

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | May 2020 | Part 3 of 4

This is the third card I made using the May 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee. This is a one-layer card, which I haven't made in years, and it felt so good to make one! I used the layered peach images and sentiments from the Peachy Sentiments stamp set. Once again, I stuck with the same colour theme as my first two cards (here and here), using Tiki TorchOrange Twist, Tiara, Garden PartyLime RickeyMint To BeAquatini and Icing On The Cake.

These peaches were stamped in four steps and since I was going to use the rock 'n' roll technique to ombre stamp the peaches and pits, it was important that I use my MISTI stamping tool. I inked up the peaches one-by-one from the top of the card, using Tiki TorchOrange Twist and Tiara.

Then I stamped the big leaves with Garden Party and the small leaves with Lime Rickey. The peach pits were rock 'n' roll stamped with Mint To Be and Aquatini. The sentiment was created and stamped with five words from the same Peachy Sentiments stamp set. Between my last card and this card, I had so much fun creating my own sentiments from all the words including in this stamp set.

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | May 2020 | Part 2 of 4

I back with another card I created using the May 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee. For this card, I didn't use the peach images. I chose to highlight the Peachy Word Die and make the sentiment the focus of my design. This card is the perfect pick-me-up for our current way of life! I stuck with the same colour theme as my first card and again featured TiaraTiki TorchOrange TwistTutti Frutti,  Lime RickeyMint To Be and Aquatini.

I started by die cutting the Peachy Word Die from white glitter cardstock and using Tutti Frutti to ink blend the die cut. I used the most ink at the bottom of the word and let it fade at the top. I placed the finished die along with the five words from the Peachy Sentiments stamp set in my MISTI stamping tool to centre everything on the panel. Then I stamped each word with a different ink colour. The last word, Keen, was rock 'n' roll stamped with both Lime Rickey and Aquatini. The hearts were also rock 'n' rolled with two colours each.

To finish, I used my mini score board to score two vertical lines for visual interest. I die cut a second Peachy Word Die from fun foam and used my Xyron sticker maker to adhere the layers to the panel. I just love the shimmer from that beautiful die cut word!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | May 2020 | Part 1 of 4

I had so much fun with the May 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee so you're in for a treat since I made four inspiration cards! This month's theme is peaches. Mmmm, who doesn't love peaches? The only other fruit I love more is cherries. Once I started creating with this collection, I couldn't stop so I'll have three more posts for you this week. We all need some cheery cards in our lives right now and the theme of this collection is perfect for the continuing stay-at-home order.

How scrumptious are these peaches? I used the Just Peachy stamp set and coordinating dies for this card. As always, I stamped way more images than I needed so I would have extras which make it easy to make more cards. I used the rock and roll technique with Tutti Frutti, Orange Twist and Tiki Torch to get the ombre effect on the peaches. There's also a crosshatch pattern you can stamp on the peaches, leaves and flowers.  It adds a modern touch to these beautiful images.

Those little blossoms are the cutest and I picked Mint To Be and Aquatini since they complemented the orange colours well and I wanted to keep the same colour theme for the three other cards. The leaves were stamped with Garden Party and Lime Rickey. After I determined a layout for the images, I stamped the dotted pattern in Tiara before adhering the images using both glue dots and foam tape.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment in Aquatini and dot clusters in Mint To Be. Then I rounded the bottom righthand corner of the card to provided balance in the white space. Please note that all of the incredible Catherine Pooler inks are also available at Ellen Hutson and Scrapbook.com.

Evelin T Designs + 2020 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop | Mugs & Kisses

What's better than coffee? Cute critters drinking coffee! In fact, Evelin T Designs has a stamp set by that exact name that has recently been restocked - the adorable Coffee Loving Critters (also available at EH | SSS)! My card features the adorable kitty from that set, enjoying her latte in a pink mug with some catnip by her side. LOL

The sentiment is also from Coffee Loving Critters, the little plant is from All Hallow's Cuteness (also available at EH | SSS) and the banner is from Framed, a stamp and die set that Evelin designed for Winnie & Walter. Unfortunately, Winnie & Walter is no longer in business but you might be able to find a secondhand set somewhere out in the crafty universe.

To make this card, I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp all the images. I created masks to protect all the images, stamping the kitty first, then the plant and finally the banner. I left the masks in place so I could ink blend the background with four Simon Hurley create inks. After blending, I splattered the background with water, white mist and shimmer mist.

I removed the masks and watercolored the images with Simon Hurley create ink refills and you can find the links to all the colours below. To finish the card, I embellished the top and bottom edges using the Essentials by Ellen Stitches Cover Plate and Stitching Lines dies. I also added enamel hearts from my stash and linked to alternates below.

I'm linking this card to the 2020 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and hope you'll play along!

I made a clean and simple card featuring products from Neat & Tangled and My Favorite Things. I actually filmed this back in March for my 16th wedding anniversary but my mom fell ill and I never got around to editing or posting it. As it turns out, this video hop was the perfect occasion to get back into video making.

I used Copic markers to colour images from Beavers, Eh? which is being retired and offered at a huge discount at Neat & Tangled. Everyone in my household loves beavers - they're adorable, a little derpy, loyal, devoted and hardworking. What's not to love?

I was a little disappointed with the streaky faces but I think my Copic markers were a bit too dry. Anyway, they are still super cute. I kept the colours simple so I could coordinate a cloud stencilled background with distress inks and blender brushes.

To finish, I added dimension to the images with foam tape and used a sparkle pen on the hearts and noses. Sometimes the simplest cards are best!

Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win one of many awesome prizes. Be sure to check back on June 6, 2020 to see if you're one of the lucky winners!

Avery Elle | Totally Awesome Slimline Card

I had these Copic-coloured images from Avery Elle's retired Stoked stamp set lying around for years and I found them recently while cleaning up my craft area. Normally, I don't keep scraps because it's quite obvious that I never use them. I really love the cute boys in this set so that's probably why I hung on to them. The third boy in the set is a drummer and since my son plays drums, I'll be hanging on to this set even though it's retired.

I used two different Hero Arts ombre inks to stamp the solid speech bubbles and created a background scene that was reminiscent of a lot of mountain areas that literally have two different seasons at different elevations.

I created the background using the Honey Bee Stamps Winter Wonder Background stencils, distress inks and Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes. This particular slimline card measures 3.5" x 7.5" and I love that I can use the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create the perfect size envelope for it!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | April 2020 | Part 2 of 2

As promised in my first post HERE, I'm back with more inspiration for the April 2020 Club Sursee collection! Using pretty much the same images, in the same colours and the same layout, I made three different cards. The best thing about making cards this way is that they look so great together and they make a beautiful gift set in a pinch.

I used the Fun Forest stamp set and coordinating dies for all three cards. This first card features monochromatic trees. I stamped them in Polished, Tiara, Garden Party and Mint To Be, then I sponged over them using the same colours, giving the trees an ombre look.

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment repeatedly down the side in colours to coordinate with the trees, popped the trees up with foam tape and added a simple frame, which was adhered flat to the card base.

I turned my second card into a shaker by stamping the same trees in black on both the panel and the card base. When I die cut the trees from the top panel, it created one big void and shows the ink blended trees through the acetate. The four ink colours blend so beautifully into one another.

I stamped the sentiment before adhering the acetate panel and forming foam tape walls to house the iridescent mini heart sequins. It's addictive to shake this pretty card and I want to make more of them!

This third card was created by stamping the trees in Midnight and using the corresponding solid shapes to stamp the colours. These trees are bolder and more striking than the ones on the first card, which are much softer in comparison.

I used a single sentiment to stamp the grass along the bottom, creating the ground or anchor for the trees. I staggered the sentiment to give it a fun and carefree look.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration for the April 2020 Club Sursee subscription! Subscribe now to get the May 2020 collection. The Basic Subscription will get you stamp sets. If you want coordinating and stand-alone dies, they will be included with the Deluxe Subscription.
