VIDEO | Taylored Expressions | More Sarcasti-Parenting

This post is a follow-up to my original Two Many Cards Video Series featuring Taylored ExpressionsSarcasti-Chick and Sarcasti-Chicklets.

I had stamped, watercolored and die cut so many extra pieces that I was able to create a third card using just those pieces!

I came up with a small-scale slimline layout and wanted to share this with you. This 3.25" x 6.5" card is one of my favourite sizes to create in and Stampin' Up! used to sell envelopes for this popular size long before the current slimline cards became popular.

Here's another look at all three cards using the same sets. As I said in my first video, below, it would be easy to make a different card for each of the sentiments in the Sarcasti-Chick and Sarcasti-Chicklets stamp sets because they're so entertaining!

If you missed my original video and Sam's video featuring the Sarcasti-Chick and Sarcasti-Chicklets bundles from Taylored Expressions, be sure to watch them below!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | June 2020

Just wait 'til you see the June 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee! When I saw this month's florals, I was blown away by their beauty. Plus, that large red rubber cling wreath stamp is one of the most beautiful stamps I've ever seen. Then there's the incredible embossed basket that holds flowers and anything else you might like... perhaps a basket of kitties and puppies from the Let's Party release?!

This post is photo-heavy so let's get started! These three cards were sent to the Clubhouse so I'll have to remake them because I really want to send these uplifting cards to my friends.

The sentiments are so encouraging and perfect for this crazy time we're living through. We've all had some tough times and I think you're very lucky if you've made it through these last four months without feeling depressed and highly frustrated at some point!

This first card features the You've Got Flowers stamp set and coordinating dies, as well as the Basket Die. I adore the embossed details on the basket, which I die cut from white linen cardstock and then sponged with Icing on the Cake.

I also used masking tape to ink blend the three coordinating strips in opposite corners of the card base. The sentiment, also stamped in Icing on the Cake, was stamped twice, once on the edge of the basket and again on the card base so it blends seamlessly once the baskets were attached to the card base.

It's been a long time since I used a red rubber cling stamp and I was quite giddy when I received the Stronger Wreath Background Stamp! It covers an A2 card and would look wonderful on a scrapbook layout, too.

To create this card, I stamped the same image four times and cut out the different parts in each colour, then pieced it all on top of the wreath on the card base. Everything was fussy cut with scissors, except the berries which were punch with a 1/16th hole punch. I used the same colours as the first card but they obviously aren't as concentrated since it's a line illustration versus solid images.

Since the sentiment itself is a separate stamp, I stamped that last and added Star Dust Stickles to the word 'stronger' to highlight it and make it glittery. Please visit my Instagram Stories to see the card in action.

My third card features more of the stunning florals from You've Got Flowers. I stamped a lot of them when I made my first card and I simply used the extras to create this card. I love how easy it is to stamp these solids and they have so much detail.

All of the flowers can be used alone but there are several that you can layer with smaller images for even more ornate blooms. I only added centres to the largest daisies on this card but the possibilities are endless.

I kept this layout very clean and simple and clustered the rich colours towards the bottom of the card, surrounding another one of the uplifting sentiments from You've Got Flowers. I sure hope you were able to get your hands on this month's Deluxe Club Sursee!

I used the same ink colours on all three of my cards and the colours are Coral Cabana, Tiara, Garden Party, Aquatini and Icing on the Cake. Please note that all of the incredible Catherine Pooler inks are also available at A Cherry on TopEllen Hutson and Scrapbook.com.

Please let me know which card is your favourite!  These were all a labour of love so it's difficult for me to pick a favourite but I really do love all the white space on the last one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Catherine Pooler Designs | Father's Day Card

I'm glad that my Dad loves all of my cards, whether they're masculine or feminine. In fact, this is the first card I've made for him that doesn't have flowers on it. He's been a gardener all his life and, at 91, he still has a vegetable garden. I'm glad he has that to keep him busy this summer since he's really missing my mom.

I recently added a much-coveted stamp set called Mountain of Thanks to my collection recently and I love how encouraging it is. Even though I didn't use the sentiments in that set, I love what the mountains stand for - strength and endurance.

The multi-coloured sentiment is from the Fill-in-the-Blank Happy Birthday stamp set and I love that I could mask off the 'happy birthday' section at the top and use it for my Father's Day card. The hearts and the border along the scored edge of the card base is from the March 2020 Basic Club Sursee subscription and the most adorable sun is from the upcoming July 2020 Deluxe Club Sursee subscription. You really don't want to miss this one!

Do you love this colour palette? I find it so soothing and I think I will have to use it again! The ink colours featured here are Tiara, It's a Boy, Mint To Be, Seafoam and Sweet Sixteen.

Crafty Together | Father's Day Card by Damian

Happy Dad's Day to all of you who are celebrating at home or virtually! Damian and I had very different ideas on the perfect card for Chris but his idea won. Damian chose the Beau & Beatrice Beaver stamp set and coordinating dies from Technique Tuesday.  We needed something for the Father's Day part so Altenew's Inline Alpha Die Set came to the rescue. The glitter green cardstock tied in nicely with the leaves in the images and ink blended grass.

Damian stamped and watercoloured all the images with distress inks. Then he ink blended the background and scored the white linen panel on all four sides. It's hard to see the vertical scoring in the photos but those lines are there! To finish, I adhered the die cut letters and gold enamel hearts.

Two Many Cards Video Series feat. Penguin Palace + Giveaway!

Hi, everyone! Samantha Mann and I are back with new videos for Two Many CardsIf you're new to this series, please visit my original post HERE, which explains how and why we're sharing our own unique take on the same products.

Today, we're so excited to be featuring the Rabbit Cafe stamp set and coordinating Rabbit Cafe Penguin Perfect Cuts, as well as the Rain of Hearts and Cyber Wallpaper stencils from Penguin Palace. These products are super cute and they're so easy and fun to create with!

All of the images and sentiments were heat embossed and watercolored with distress inks. As always, I stamped, coloured and cut multiples so I could easily create scenes and fill them in as necessary without having to re-stamp, colour and die cut extras.

For my first card, I used the Rain of Hearts stencil in strips to create a soft of artsy staircase like in many European streets. The girl is heading to meet her bunny friend who's waiting with cupcakes. I just love these adorable images and the punny sentiment!

There's a lot of shimmer on this card, between the heat embossing, the shimmer spritz I used on the stencilling and the strip of gold glitter cardstock.

My second card uses the Cyber Wallpaper stencil in a more traditional way to create cobblestones outside another cafe. This one has an outdoor seating area on both sides of the building. The girl and her bunny friend are leaving to go shopping and they pass the barista who's out serving another customer.

I just love seeing both these cards side-by-side. They're the absolute cutest and my son is trying to steal one of these cards that I planned on giving to a friend. LOL I can't wait to add more Penguin Palace products to my collection!

Penguin Palace is giving away TWO $10 discount coupons and one lucky winner will be chosen randomly from each of our videos. You must be a subscriber to both our channels! Comments will close at 11:59pm EST on June 27, 2020 and the winners will be announced in the YouTube description for today's video before the next video goes live. Paper Smooches | Dad, This One's For You

I was destashing this weekend and while I was looking through my Paper Smooches stamp sets, I found one that I hadn't used in a while. Coincidently, it happened to be Daddy Yo and Daddy Yo 2, which I had stored together, and Father's Day is coming up. I made this card for fun since it's definitely not the right card for my dad. LOL

I used nine Catherine Pooler inks, all of which are listed below for your shopping convenience. One of my favourite things to do before creating is to choose a colour palette and while this may seem like a lot of colours, it doesn't seem like it since there are so many elements here.

The two sentiments are stamped directly on the linen card base. The stars and outer bottles are adhered with glue dots and the moustached bottle is popped up with foam tape.

This masculine card is fairly simple but it took a long time to make. I hope that you'll find some inspiration in it for your last-minute Father's Day cards. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Evelin T Designs | June 2020 Release Day + Video Review!

Welcome to the Evelin T Designs June 2020 Release! Evelin has outdone herself and illustrated EIGHT new stamp sets and I can't wait to share them with you. This week, two stamp sets will be revealed each day and the design team has been busy creating loads of inspiration to share with you. Be sure to stop by the Evelin T Designs blog each day and leave comments for your chance to win one of TWO $15 gift certificates!

In addition to today's project, I'm sharing a full video review of all eight stamp sets and design team inspiration projects. You'll get a closer look at each stamp set, as well as ideas on how to use each stamp set.

Today's card features Best Friends Fur-Ever! The sweet little bookworm won me over and I love the sentiments that reference coffee, tea and cocoa. Oh, and let's talk about those lush leaves, shall we? Since I wasn't in the mood to colour when I sat down to make this card, I decided to go through my patterned paper stash and, boy, do I have a lot of 6x6 pads!

Do you remember the paper company BasicGrey? It was one of my favourites and I was so sad when they closed down in 2016. I used 10 different papers from their Barista paper pad. It's fittingly named for this card since the cute monster is drinking coffee! While you can't get these papers anymore, I've linked below to an alternate with similar colours.

I stamped each image multiple times, first on Neenah solid white cardstock so I could colour parts of the images like the bunny and girl's head with Copic markers. Then I pieced together the monster, girl's outfit and the leaves with all the different patterns. I also cut out the top piece to look like curtains, die cutting stitched lines across the top, and of course using a coveted burlap pattern for the floor.

Evelin T Designs | June 2020 Release | Day 3

Welcome to the Evelin T Designs June 2020 Release! Evelin has outdone herself and illustrated EIGHT new stamp sets and I can't wait to share them with you. This week, two stamp sets will be revealed each day and the design team has been busy creating loads of inspiration to share with you. Be sure to stop by the Evelin T Designs blog each day and leave comments for your chance to win one of TWO $15 gift certificates!

Today's card features Under the Sea: Background and Under the Sea: Merfriends. My favourite stamp sets by Evelin are the big ones, like All Is Calm, Sneaky Kitties, Floral Surprise and now Under the Sea: Background! I love the way they cover an A2 card front, making it easy to make a card. All three Under the Sea stamp sets in this release - NarwhalBackground and Merfriends -  work well together.

I had actually coloured the merbear and wanted to include him in this scene. However, I didn't plan where I would put him and filled the empty space with the fish, jellyfish and sea turtle. (What do you think of the bear as merdusa? LOL) The original sentiment I used also didn't work with the card without the merbear so I had no choice but to add some patterned paper to the top of the card to cover it up. I die cut a stitched border across the very top. Then I chose a more appropriate sentiment for the scene.

Thanks so much for stopping by. See you again tomorrow for Release Day!
