Concord & 9th | October 2020 Feature Friday | Buds & Blossoms Bundle + Calendar Bundle

Hello, friends! I'm back with my third and final Feature Friday projects for Concord & 9th! It was a pleasure to guest for them this month and I still have a lot of ideas brewing in my head for these wonderful products so keep an eye out for more cards even though my guest spot ends with this post. This week, Joan, LauraJane and I are featuring the Buds & Blossoms Bundle and the Calendar Bundle.

My first card featuring the Buds & Blossoms Bundle uses Grapefruit, Stardust and Aqua Sky inks and Wheat, Dove and Mushroom cardstock. The sentiment and all of the flowers, leaves and hearts are from the Buds & Blossoms Bundle. The tiny bits of frames you see in the corners were cut from the Daily Wear Dies.

I stamped everything except the leaves and mums in Mushroom ink. The mums were stamped with Dove ink for softness and filled with Grapefruit ink. The leaves were white heat embossed on vellum to keep the colours light against the Wheat card base. The layers were adhered with a combination of liquid glue, glue dots and foam tape.

I wanted to do something different with the Calendar Bundle so I came up with an idea for customizing monthly birthdays and I love it so much that I want to make a set of 12 cards like this! The bundle comes with 12 monthly cards, two bi-annual cards, a striped card and scripted word dies for each month so I incorporated all of those here.

I cut a strip from the striped card and a strip of Aqua Sky cardstock and glued it at the folded edge. Then I used a blender brush to blend Dove ink around the edges of the trimmed calendars so they would show up against the white card base. I die cut the January die using the Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack and layered it over an Aqua Sky die cut. I used All the Letters and All the Numbers dies for the rest of the custom sentiment. I stamped little hearts in Stardust and Aqua Sky to highlight the day of my friend's birthday.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration and if you are inspired by my cards, I hope you will use my affiliate links to let Concord & 9th know that I sent you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Erica Andersson-Burke's 10K Followers Insta Hop + Giveaways!

Hello, everyone! It's a busy Wednesday here on my blog but I'm grateful for the chance to share so many beautiful products with you! My sweet, funny and uber-talented friend Erica Andersson-Burke reached an incredible milestone on Instagram earlier this week and she's celebrating with an Insta Hop and Giveaway, sponsored by Concord & 9th, a favourite company of ours!

The full Insta Hop list is below but let's talk about my card and these gorgeous products, shall we? ;) My card features the Buds & Blossoms Bundle from the newest release! This set is simple, easy to use and makes stunning cards!

I always start by picking my ink colours - Ballet Slipper, Cranberry, Sprout, ParsleyAqua Sky, Peacock and Mushroom - then stamping all of the images multiple times in each colour so I can choose which versions and combinations I like after all the die cuts are in front of me. I cut a 4" x 5.25" panel and arranged the flowers and leaves along the edges.

I stamped the sentiments and pink flowers on the panel, and adhered everything with glue dots and foam tape. Then I trimmed off the overhanging bits and attached the panel to an A2 card base. To finish, I added Star Dust Stickles to the centres of the little pink flowers.

Catherine Pooler Designs | Nordic Wood Collection | Release Day!

It's Release Day at Catherine Pooler Designs and the Nordic Wood Collection is now available for purchase! This collection is so heartwarming and perfect for those long winter months when we're cooped up inside. Let's be real, none of us are looking forward to this winter, except for the crafty times, right?

My card features the Alpine Village stamp set and coordinating dies, a sentiment and snowflakes from the Cuddle Weather Sentiments stamp set, smoke from the Pumpkin Season stamp set, and die cut hills from the Melon Edge die set.

First, I stamped and die cut a gazillion Alpine Village houses and trees using Coral Cabana, Tiara, Mint To Be and Sweet Sixteen. Then I die cut three hills of different heights from glitter cardstock using the Melon Edge dies. I ink blended Twilight along the top edges of the hills to give them some depth.

After arranging the scene on the hills, I attached all the pieces to the card base with a combination of glue dots and foam tape for lots of dimension and visual interest. To finish the scene, I added the little smoke plume from Pumpkin Season to the lone chimney and stamped the sentiment and snowflakes from Cuddle Weather Sentiments.

Evelin T Designs | October 2020 Release Day

Hello, friends! The Evelin T Designs Winter/Christmas Release is now LIVE in the shop! If you missed yesterday's Blog Hop, be sure to hop along for your chance to win one a $15 gift certificate and receive a gift with purchase.

For today's card, I combined the Be Merry and Season's Greetings stamp sets. This hedgehog in a mug is my favourite image out of the entire release. It's so adorable, wedged in the mug and holding poinsettia! LOL

I stamped and heat embossed both the image and custom sentiment. Then ink blended an overlapping background by die cutting circles from masking paper. I also die cut a stitched pattern to the bottom of the panel before attaching the image to the card with glue dots and embellishing with coordinating pearls.

Here's a review of the five new stamp sets available now:

Catherine Pooler Designs | Nordic Wood Collection Preview

Catherine Pooler's Nordic Wood Collection will be available tomorrow! If you're a StampNation member, you're able to head to the shop and purchase these amazing products NOW! My card features the Holly Framed Cover Plate Die with two sentiments from the Alpine Village Stamp Set

I'm in love with this cover plate and I don't think I've ever said that about a cover plate so this is really something. LOL It has so much detail and makes creating so easy! To create this card, I die cut the Holly Framed Cover Plate Die from watercolour cardstock and used sponge daubers to add colour with Catherine Pooler inks in Polished, Cranberry Fizz, Hot TubSeafoamDeck the Halls, Over Coffee and Icing on the Cake. I die cut a second frame to add dimension and hide the ink smudges on the coloured frame.

To create the background, I simply stamped the sentiments in Midnight, then used gold embossing powder to heat emboss it for that special touch. Then I lightly ink blended the edges with Mint To Be and used shimmer spritz to add sparkle to both panels. After the panels dried, I adhered them to the card base using liquid glue.

I'll have loads more inspiration using the Nordic Wood Collection in the days to come. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Evelin T Designs | October 2020 Release | Day 2 + Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 2 of the Evelin T Designs Winter/Christmas Release! Today, we're having a blog hop and you can find the full hop list below. The design team is showcasing the final three stamp sets today and I'm featuring the Be Merry stamp set, which is my favourite from this release!

Believe it or not, I used the exact same ink colours and ink blended frame as I did on my Day 1 card. The ratios of each colour are different and, of course, the orientation of the card. The animals are, again, singing and playing instruments and their Christmas tree is a mushroom! I masked the three images together. What can I say? I'm a music lover and cannot resist musical critters, especially when they are this cute!

Evelin T Designs | October 2020 Release | Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of Evelin T Designs' October 2020 Release! Today, the design team is featuring Baby, It's Cold Outside and Pup-tastic Christmas. My card features one of the darling images from Pup-tastic Christmas. I just love this trio of carollers!

I stamped and heat embossed the image, sentiment and music notes with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder on watercolour cardstock. Then I watercolored the images with distress inks and you can find all of those colours listed below.

To create the background, I used a rectangle masking stencil and ink blended with distress inks. Then I used shimmer spritz to splatter the entire panel. It's super sparkly in real life and you can see some of the shimmer HERE! Neither the photos nor video do it justice. After the panel completely dried, I adhered it to a card base and added icy sparkle crystals to finish the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow for our blog hop with freebies and giveaways!

VIDEO | Trinity Stamps | Tree-mendous Christmas Slimline Card

I'm excited to be a guest on the Trinity Stamps YouTube Channel with this slimline card featuring some of the new products from the Warm & Cozy Holiday Release!

I was really drawn to this adorable illustration from the Tree-mendous Christmas stamp set with coordinating dies. Did you spot the adorable beaver in the centre of the Christmas tree-shaped animal pile? There are so many favourites here, including a raccoon, squirrel and bunny!

I stamped, heat embossed and watercolored the image with distress inks. Then I used the new Slimline Snowfall Layering Stencil Set to create softly falling snow in blues and greens. I used those same ink colours to blend around the edges of the Slimline Foundations 3-Piece Stencil Set.

I also used the Slimline Card Series: Scenic Border Die Set with white and silver glitter cardstock to create snow hills to anchor the image and sentiments.

To finish the card, I added some silver star sequins to balance out the shimmer at the top and bottom of this slimline card.

Thanks so much for watching!

Concord & 9th | October 2020 Feature Friday | All the Letters & Numbers Bundle and Painted Bundle

Hi, everyone! I'm back with my second Feature Friday projects for Concord & 9th. This week, Joan BardeeLauraJane and I are showcasing the All the Letters & Numbers Bundle and the Painted Bundle. There were a lot of products in these bundles and I had so much fun combining them all! I needed a lot of space so I decided to take advantage of the extra space provided by slimline cards.

I used the same colour theme on both cards - Grapefruit, Stardust, Evergreen, Aqua Sky, Peacock, Dove and Mushroom - because that makes it easier for me to create and the cards also look great when photographed together. LOL This is especially helpful when making slimline cards because it's not as easy to photograph slimline cards, as I'm sure you know!

The All the Letters & Numbers Bundle includes five items, including four stamp sets and a die set. I managed to use something from all those sets on my first card. Most of the letters were die cut with the coordinating cardstock colours, the heart and number 3 were stamped with the coordinating ink colours, and some letters were stamped with both the solid and outline letter stamps, then the die cut letters were adhered over top, showing just a peek of the stamping for emphasis.

Both the stamped sentiments at the top and bottom of the card are from the Painted Sayings Stamp Set. Both the White and Dove cardstock are from Concord & 9th.

I love these tall skinny letters and numbers. You can use them to form longer words on cards of all sizes, even the standard A2 cards. I had so many ideas, even those license plate riddles that you often see. It would be so fun to sit down and make a bunch of cards with that theme.

I was so giddy when I figured out that I could use the large shapes from the Painted Shapes Stamp Set to make emojis! Originally, I stamped the faces directly on to the Stardust circles but the colours changed and the Grapefruit eyes didn't show up well. I used masking paper to keep those parts white while I stamped the head.

Since I was using mini ink pads on such a large stamp which resulted in lines, I had to double stamp the circle. A slimline doesn't fit into the Original MISTI stamping tool so I think I will have to get the larger Memory MISTI stamping tool if I continue to make more slimline cards. I was quite nervous about doing all this stamping with a large acrylic block but it turned out to be very easy to line up. I love the results of this fun card!
