Catherine Pooler | It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Catherine Pooler will be creating live on Monday, November 22nd with a trending holiday colour combo which has been posted in the StampNation Facebook Group so you can join in on the fun and create ahead of time!

The ink colours featured are Rockin' Red, Do-Si-Do, Garden Party, Deck the Halls and Sweet Sixteen. I've never used this combo and stamped a ton of different images from several sets before finding the right combination for this card. Believe it or not, I started with food on a tag!

This big sentiment from Wonderful Time of the Year is one of my favourite holiday stamps of all-time! I love how it takes centre stage and doesn't really need much else to make an impact.

All of the stamped flowers and foliage use the Let's Go Skating stamp set and coordinating dies. The heat embossed leaves on vellum are from the retiring Love Grows Here stamp set and coordinating dies. This much-loved set is on sale so grab it while you still can!

After arranging the images, I used a combination of liquid glue, glue dots and foam tape to attach the die cut images to the card. I also added seed beads to the centres of the poinsettia and tiny heart sequins from the Romance Sequin Mix.

Here's a visual of the colour combo! I hope you'll play along and share your project in the StampNation gallery or on social media. Be sure to tag @catherinepooler and use the hashtags #catherinepoolerdesigns #catherinepoolerinks and #cpcolorcombo so we can stop by and leave some love!

Spellbinders | November 2021 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop + Giveaway!

I'm thrilled to be part of the Spellbinders November 2021 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop! You should've arrived from Marie Heiderscheit's blog and I have the full list of participants below. There are also details on the generous giveaway so be sure to read 'til the end.

For this hop, I've combined the Small Die of the Month - Stitched Curved Borders & Ornaments with the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month - Curved Christmas Glimmer Borders and you can see my previous club kit inspiration cards HERE and HERE. The design of this card is basically the reverse of this design HERE. I actually made them at the same time but instead of gold, I used silver on this version.

I also used silver embroidery floss on these ornaments as they were intended. I layered the ornaments using glitter and mirror silver cardstock, with sea glass blue and white cardstock. The addition of the silver pearls pull all of the silver layers together.

I love the impact of the matte silver hot foil on the lipstick red cardstock! With all of the details on the ornaments and the bright red panel, this card doesn't need much more.

I hope you enjoyed today's card featuring the Small Die of the Month with the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month! You have until November 24, 2021 to sign-up for these particular kits.

Happy 15th Birthday to Ellen Hutson LLC!! I don't remember when I started shopping at Ellen Hutson but I have loved all of my shopping experiences and I have certainly appreciated my short time as a Brand Ambassador. I'm so proud of the amazing team at Ellen Hutson LLC and wish them continued success!

We're celebrating in two ways. I used the amazing HB2U stamp set on my card and you can get it free with a $100+ purchase on anything in the store! Be sure to check out the Birthday Sale and use code HAPPY15EHLLC to save 20% items in that category.

I stamped the outlines in Juniper Mist before filling in the words with Coral Cabana, Bellini, Catching Rays and Sea Glass. I also heat embossed the outline of HB2U and the scripted hooray with WOW Midnight Dream embossing glitter.

I used the Essential Stars dies to create windows in the panel. I glued the two positive pieces of each star on to the white linen card base before attaching acetate to the panel and inserting glitter and silver star sequins to create the shaker sections.

If you like the HB2U stamp set, you can find similar inspiration in my projects and YouTube videos featuring Totally Random Sayings Volume 2 and Block WordsHERE and HERE. This awesome free stamp offer expires at the end of the day on November 17, 2021.

Spellbinders | It's Okay To Be Sad

The Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs dies had been out of stock everywhere for so long and I was finally able to get my hands on them! I also got the Mini Sincere Sentiments since I plan to collect all of the foiling sentiment sets. It's so hard to pick and choose which ones to get first.

A good friend of ours lost his father this week so I thought this was the perfect chance to combine the Mini Blooms and Sprigs with a sentiment from the Mini Sincere Sentiments and the Pinstripe Bracket Card Builder.

All of the cardstock is from Simon Says Stamp, with the exception of the silver glitter which is by Sizzix. I chose a combination that is more on the masculine side but also muted which suits the occasion.

The Mini Sincere Sentiment was heat foiled on Smoke Gray cardstock and the Pinstripe Bracket was heat foiled on Slate Gray cardstock. I used Matte Silver Glimmer Hot Foil on both these sections and I'm completely obsessed. Heat foiling doesn't have to be shiny to look incredible!

I die cut the Mini Blooms and Sprigs from Mint, Cornflower, Midnight Green and Fog Gray cardstock. Then I layered and arranged all the florals and foliage across the length of the foiled bracket section. After using liquid glue to attach the pieces, I popped the bracket panel on with black foam tape and embellished the blue flowers with white pearls.

Spellbinders | November 2021 Small Die of the Month

I know I say this every month but the Spellbinders November 2021 Club Kits are absolutely fantastic. I know that these ones will fuel my holiday crafting, not just this year but for years to come. Christmas is such a fun time of year, especially in cardmaking!

This card features both the November 2021 Small Die of the Month - Stitched Curved Borders & Ornaments, which I don't think is small at all, as well as the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, previously featured HERE.

I went for a slightly darker colour combo this time but a good amount of white and gold keeps it very festive and beautiful. I used the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month to foil both the sentiment and curved holly banner with black and gold foil, respectively. The black foil had been out of stock for so long and I was finally able to get my hands on it. It's beautiful and crisp so grab it while you can!

I used the Love Stripes embossing folder on the bit of curved blue peeking out from under the white panel. It's hard to see in the photos but it provides that extra bit of interest and allows for a nice transition to the glue and gold ornaments. I used both the glitter and mirror gold cardstock on the ornament layers to make them extra special.

If you missed my previous post this month showcasing the November 2021 Large Die of the Month and the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, please head to that post HERE.

Catherine Pooler | Winter Wonders Collection - Woodsy Patterned Paper Inspiration

Today, I have more inspiration using the Winter Blessings Sentiments stamp set and Woodsy Patterned Paper from Catherine Pooler's new Winter Wonders Collection.

If you've ever come across products that really inspire you, you'll understand why the Woodsy Patterned Paper has had that effect on me. If you missed yesterday's card, you can find that HERE

The moment I saw these papers, I knew that I wanted to use the Winterhaven Dies with the woodgrain paper. The Tranquil-plaid paper made perfect snow hills with the Melon Edge Dies and all I had to do was fussy cut some of the printed tree and a cute little owl!

I wanted to pop the cute little winter scene into something other than a traditional die shape so I dug out one of my old favourites, Got You Covered. You can find more inspiration using that set HERE. Unfortunately, the coordinating dies for this set doesn't have a die for the terrarium itself or the base so I used a paper blade to cut around the stamped image.

Both the terrarium and sentiment were stamped in Spruce, the tiny snowflakes were stamped in Tranquil and the base was stamped in Dress Blues, then heat embossed with WOW Dress Blues embossing glitter. I finished by attaching silver string around the top of the terrarium.

Catherine Pooler | Winter Wonders Collection - Peace, Love & Joy

Happy Release Day! Catherine Pooler's Winter Wonders Collection is available now and I wanted to highlight the Winter Blessings Sentiments stamp set and Woodsy Patterned Paper. I chose three of the more subtle papers in this collection to use as a background for the lovely sentiment and blooms from  You've Got Flowers. You can find more inspiration using that set HERE.

In keeping with the holiday theme of the Winter Blessings Sentiments stamp set and Woodsy Patterned Paper, I chose a bold and festive colour combination of Party Dress, Rockin' Red, Peppermint Scrub and Bay Breeze. After stamping the flowers and leaves, I create a mock arrangement on a 4" x 5.5" panel and set them aside while I prepared the patterned paper background.

I trimmed a 3.75" x 5.5" panel of woodgrain paper and used one of the Morning Joe Border Dies to create stitching down the left side. Then I cut a strip of graph paper on an angle for visual interest. I heat embossed the sentiment using one layer each of WOW white embossing powder, halo embossing glitter and clear gloss embossing powder.

After attaching the patterned paper pieces to the card base, I used glue dots to attach the flowers to the card. I felt there were some spaces that needed to be filled so I used the tiny leaf die to create plaid Tranquil-coloured leaves, which I attached with liquid glue.

Catherine Pooler | Winter Wonders Collection - Release Day

Catherine Pooler's Winter Wonders Collection arrives tomorrow Wednesday, November 10th but if you're a StampNation member, you can shop today at 12:00pm EST! You can use the Winter Wonders Collection in so many ways. After seeing all the fall products, it's fun to move straight into both holiday and winter cardmaking.

I wanted to use the single tree and the tree trunks from the Evergreen Woods stamp set featured yesterday. They're equally stunning on their own, especially when stamped with different colours. Again, I used Serenade, Drive-In and Queen For A Day, as well as In the Park and Mardi Gras.

Not only did I add WOW Halo embossing glitter on top of the darkest layers, I decided to make a snowy shaker with the Scallops and Dots Dies. I combined two types and sizes of fine glitter to make it ultra sparkly.

The ombre-stamped squirrel is from Warm My Heart and the sentiment is from the new Winter Blessings Sentiments stamp set, which you can purchase in combination with Evergreen Woods in the Evergreen Woods Bundle.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy shopping!
