{Avery Elle} Birthday Booth Hugs by Chris

Hi, everyone! I'm popping in to share the adorable birthday card that my husband made me. Yup, Chris made this all by himself. I'm not sure why he didn't involve Damian but he just went for it and it turned out so cute! I really love the colours and especially the rainbow banner. The card was inspired by our Pusheen Sloth and Miniso Bunny. Sloth is supposed to be hugging a cat (Pusheen) but our sloth has taken to the bunny recently. LOL

Chris used Avery Elle's Market Stand and Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp sets and coordinating dies, colouring them with Copic markers. For the pierced frames, he used Winnie & Walter's Katharine Cutaways.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration using a couple of my favourite stamp sets from Avery Elle. This card reminded me that I still need to order the newer Cocoa Stand and Peek-a-Boo Scary Pals sets. 😉

{Catherine Pooler Designs} September 2019 Club Sursee | Part 2

I'm here with another look at the Deluxe Club Sursee subscription for September 2019. I used two small die sets - only four dies total - to make this card!

I used the Little Leaves Dies to create a white-on-white panel and then I used daubers with three Catherine Pooler inks to colour each die cut and embossed leaf. I used the same colours as I did on the previous card from this kit and you can find those colours listed in the supply links below.

When I adhered the coloured leaves on to the card, I offset them from the die cut panel ever so slightly. The sentiment was die cut from the Simple Greetings Dies using glittery black cardstock.

{Catherine Pooler Designs} September 2019 Club Sursee | Part 1

Hi there, I'm popping in with a sneak peek at the Deluxe Club Sursee subscription for September 2019. Fall is my favourite season so it's no surprised that I love stamp sets with leaves! Plus, the sentiments are perfect for Thanksgiving and thank you cards. This card is just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do with the products in this month's subscription.

I used five Catherine Pooler inks - Rouge, Mandarin Spice, Tiara, Daydream and Juniper Mist - to create a rainbow of cascading leaves. The two-part acorn was stamped in the two colours of the leaves they're positioned between. I also stamped the sentiment in two colours.

Since this is a very clean and simple design, I added a few sparkling clear sequins for a pop of shine and to help draw the eyes down and across the card.

{Evelin T Designs} Featured Stamp Set: All Hallow's Cuteness

Happy Monday! I'm on the Evelin T Designs blog today with a card featuring the new stamp set All Hallow's Cuteness (also sold at EH | SSS). These Halloween illustrations are as cute as can be! I used the bird, bear, bunny and cat who are all ready for trick or treating in their costumes. It's so easy to create scenes with these cuties.

I stamped all of the images and coloured them using Copic markers. Then I stamped the images again on masking paper and covered the coloured images so I could sponge the background with distress inks.

After all of the colouring and ink blending was done, I used shimmer mist to splatter the panel. It adds a feeling of 'magic' to the scene, as if the bear fairy and cat witch are casting a spell on the bunny. The shimmer is hard to capture on camera but is so pretty in person.

It's been over a month since I made anything and even longer since I used Copic markers so there was no question that I was going to make this card pop for the holidays! I coloured the sweet animals first and it was fun to discover hidden ones as I went along. LOL I stuck to traditional holiday colours to keep it simple and quick to colour.
