VIDEO | Metropolitan High-rise Pups feat. Simon Hurley create.

I'm back with another video for Simon Hurley create. and this card showcases the Puppy Puns Bundle, which includes the Puppy Puns clear stamp set, School Scribbles cling background and Window Maker stencil. See below for a discount code and shop links!

I used the shape of the Window Maker stencil to create masks so I could stamp the School Scribbles cling background as a building with a mural. Then I used the Window Maker stencil itself to sponge in the windows. I used a new ink colour, Minty Fresh, for the entire background.

I stamped all of the pups and accessories from the Puppy Puns clear stamp set using Woof! ink and watercolored all of the images using Woof!Rosy CheeksOver the Moon and another new ink colour, Tropical Tango.

I used the rock and roll technique to stamp the speech bubbles using Rosy Cheeks and Over the Moon. Then I traced the entire School Scribbles background and coloured in the speech bubbles with a sparkle pen.

You can purchase all three products individually, or in the Puppy Puns Bundle! Save 20% off your order by using code SIMON20 at Ranger Ink. All shop links are below.

VIDEO | Aurora Borealis Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for a parent at my son's school to surprise her husband with a trip to Iceland to see the northern lights for his 60th birthday. It was nice to be able to mix and match various brands just for fun! I should do it more often - you know, in my spare time. LOL

I used HoneyBee Stamps' incredible set of Winter Wonder Scene Builder stencils to create the different layers of mountains, terrain and even the northern lights. In my video, I state exactly which colours I use for the different layers but you can always find all of the distress ink colours listed in my supply list below.

I used Altenew's Bold Numerals die set and fun foam to pop up the number 60 at the centre of the card. I tend to reach for these numbers dies when I have to customize a card. They make a big impact and they're also large enough to accommodate small sentiments inside the numbers.

The Paper Smooches scripted Happy Birthday Words were die cut from olive green and black glitter cardstock, then layered to create a shadow effect and coordinate with the northern lights.

Club Sursee | February 2020 | Catherine Pooler Designs

It's time for another fabulous collection from Club Sursee. The February 2020 stamp sets are such a fresh take on spring and I can almost forget about how cold it is right now! I'm featuring the Basic Monthly Subscription, which consists of two stamp sets, Sealed With a Kiss and Hello Fabulous.

I can mask with the best of them but I really wanted some dimension for these gorgeous flowers on the first two cards so I chose to fussy cut them all after watercoloring with Catherine Pooler inks.

I used It's a Girl, Rose Petals and Party Dress for the rose; Shea Butter, Tiara and Sauna for the daffodil; Mint To Be and All That Jazz for the crocus; and Garden Party, Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt for the foliage. The vase and envelope clip were coloured with Black Jack and all of the sentiments were stamped with Midnight.

For all three cards, I used a coordinating ink colour and life changing blender brushes to sponge the edges of the second panel to create the perfect frame.

All of the images on the first two cards are from Sealed With a Kiss. The sentiment on the first card is from the same stamp set. The images on the third card and sentiments on the second and third cards are from Hello Fabulous.

The flourishes and roses from Hello Fabulous make them perfect for layering. You could easily cover an entire card with the large flourish and scatter the roses on the vines. I stamped the flourishes with Black Jack and restamped the images with Midnight.

Once again, I fussy cut the roses and leaves and attached them with glue dots to create a bit of dimension. To finish, I embellished the ends of the flourishes with clear drops.

You Are So Sweet feat. Evelin T Designs

I'm on the Evelin T Designs blog today with this bunny-filled card. I was aiming to make an Easter card but when it came to the sentiment and trying to figure out how to create an Easter sentiment with non-Easter words, I scrapped that idea in favour of all-things-bunny.

I used the bundled up bunny from Warm Winter Wishes (also available at EH | SSS), the bookworm bunny from Reading Buddies (also available at EH | SSS), and both the coffee-loving and snacking bunnies from Coffee Loving Critters (also available at EH | SSS).

I coloured all of the images with Copic markers (colours are listed below), fussy cut them and set them aside to create the background. I used masking paper, life changing blending brushes, and abandoned coral and tumbled glass distress inks to create the ground and sky.

Then I stamped the sentiment from Coffee Loving Critters (also available at EH | SSS) with three shades of ink, adding a second heart to balance out the colours. To finish, I adhered the bunnies to the card base with three sizes of glue dots.

Crafty Together | Valentine's Day cards from Chris and Damian

I always look forward to receiving handmade cards from my husband and son. It's so fun to see what they dream up and these Valentine's Day cards are no exception. In fact, I think they outdid themselves this year! My husband always worries that he won't be able to live up to his last card. ðŸ˜†

Damian's card features Wood You? from Avery Elle. That adorable, derpy beaver will always have my heart and the stamps are dies are currently on sale so head over there now and grab them while you still can!

The cactus (see this post for backstory) and sentiment are from A Little Prickly - currently on sale - by Technique Tuesday. The images were stamped on smooth Bristol cardstock and coloured with Primacolor pencils.

Chris combined three Lawn Fawn sets, including Love Letters, Forest Feast and Cheery Christmas. He stamped his images with Memento inks and coloured them with Copic markers. He also used a piece of retired patterned paper from my stash but you can find something similar in the Sweet Stack paper pad from My Favorite Things.

Let Hope Anchor Your Soul feat. Gina K. Designs

I had the pleasure of playing with one of the stamp sets from new release at Gina K. Designs. You Anchor Me (also available at EH | SSS) was designed by Lisa Hetrick and it's beautiful and so versatile. I love the big anchor and encouragement sentiments.

I love that the anchor is big enough to be the focal point on an A2-sized card. I wanted the anchor to look realistic so I stamped it with grey pigment ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. Visit my corresponding Instagram post to see the shine in action!

I stamped multiple images with various shades of Altenew ink (see below for all six colours), used the backside of the stamps to 'colour' the leaves and top layer of the main flower, then fussy cut the images to create a dimensional cluster. Once I determined the layout of the flowers and foliage I added the 'berries' to the background, using the rock-and-roll technique and two shades of green ink.

Before adhering the cluster to the card base, I again used the rock-and-roll technique and two shades of pink and two shades of green to stamp the sentiment. Once that was done, I adhered the cluster with glue dots and rounded the bottom right hand corner of the card with a corner chomper. To finish, I added a large sequin and clear drop in the centre of the main flower.

Happy You Day feat. Club Sursee | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello! Just popping in to share a quick card using some products from the August 2019 Club Sursee collection. Most of you know that my son loves cacti, since his Minecraft persona is a Creeper. When we text, we use the cactus emoji instead of his name. I know, it's a little funny but it's also adorable, right? Every time I see a cute cactus stamp, I think of him. Naturally, I made this card with him in mind!

The August 2019 Club Sursee collection came with this amazing stamp set called Got You Covered, which includes adorable succulents and a terrarium. I love that it's a builder set so you can use multiple colours to customize each plant! It can be as colourful or as monotonous as you like. I used seven Catherine Pooler ink colours, including Party Dress, Shea Butter, Garden Party, Eucalyptus, Mint To Be, All That Jazz and Daydream. You can find multiple store links below.

The sentiment is from the other stamp set in the collection called Love Grows Here. It's another stunning set with flowers and foliage but the sentiment fit perfectly between the handle of the terrarium and the large cactus. The glass stones are second-generation stamped and I added sparkle to the outline of the terrarium using a crystal clear sparkle pen.
