Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop feat. Concord & 9th + Giveaways!

Welcome to the 4th Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop! I'm so honoured to be participating in this event, organized by the fabulous Justine Hovey, and you can find all the details on her blog HERE.

I'm featuring Concord & 9th stamps and dies in my video. I was looking through my stash for cards to send out and I came across the ones I made while I was a guest designer and two of the cards, in particular, inspired me to create these cards.

I pulled the recently retired Hi There Bear bundle and combined it with a well-loved Gingham Background and the Lots to Say mini stamp set.

I stamped a custom version of the Gingham Background in three shades of purple - Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris. I cut up the stamped background into 2/8" and 5/8" strips and adhered them to the card.

I also added a strip of pearl glitter cardstock from the Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack. I also used a sparkle pen to add shimmer to the green bow ties and both the bouquet and cotton candy.

I stamped the panda details as well as the grey sentiments with Cloudy Night. I used three shades of green - BambooParrot and Olive - to create the scripted ombre sentiments, as well as the grass.

With the exception of the panda outline, which was stamped in Gina K Designs obsidian amalgam ink, I used all Altenew ink pads and you can find the colours listed in the supply links below.

There are so many prizes to be won. Some video artists are giving away a specific prize but our sponsors are giving away prizes to anyone who comments. The more love you leave, the higher your chances of winning! Comments close on April 5, 2020 and winners will be announced on Justine's blog and YouTube channel on April 10, 2020.

Thanks so much for hopping with us!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | March 2020

The March 2020 Club Sursee collection has shipped out to subscribers! I've seen a few posts on Instagram and I love what you've all been creating with this uplifting kit. We all need some 'happy' in our lives right now and the theme of this collection was perfectly-timed.

This collection inspired me to make bright, colourful cards to welcome spring, encourage and celebrate friendships! I didn't have the coordinating dies but fussy cutting was very easy with these adorable images. I used the same four colours on all three of my cards - Orange Twist, Lemongrass, Mint To Be and Something Borrowed - with a splash of neutrals, Icing on the Cake and Black Jack.

I used three of the five products from the Deluxe Club Sursee collection on my first card. I used the frame from the Puddle Jumper Mini Cover Plate and stacked it with fun foam for dimension.

I used the rain and one of the borders from the Springtime Elements stamp set to accent the frame and create the ground.

The sentiments, rain boots, flowers and pot are all from the Blue Skies Ahead stamp set.

My second card was made using builder images from the Springtime Elements stamp set.

I placed the panel in my MISTI stamping tool and turned it 180 degrees to stamp the same image twice to get the exact same grouping on opposite ends of the panel.

Then I stamped and fussy cut flowers from Blue Skies Ahead to create embellishments for the squares. I adhered them with glue dots to create a bit of dimension and visual interest.

Both of the uplifting sentiments are from the Springtime Elements stamp set.

My third card primarily features the Blue Skies Ahead stamp set. The umbrella, flowers and sentiment are all from Blue Skies Ahead. The little heart next to the sentiment is from the Springtime Elements stamp set.

I masked off the metal parts of the umbrella so I could stamp them all in Black Jack. Since this was a one-layer card, I added tiny white silk bows to up the cute factor.

Which card is your favourite? Mine is the second one. I rarely use patterns to create graphic cards but I really love the way it turned out! ðŸ˜‰

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration for the March 2020 Club Sursee subscription! This particular collection is no longer available but each month's subscription gets better and better. If you don't want to miss any more, subscribe now to get the April collection. The Basic Subscription will get you stamp sets. If you want coordinating and stand-alone dies, they will be included with the Deluxe Subscription.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Concord & 9th | Pandas are the Best + Sale!

There are many obscure occasions I want to make cards for but I either run out of time or I'm not motivated enough. Today is National Panda Day and I couldn't let it pass without making a panda card! I own two Concord & 9th stamp sets with pandas and the Furry Friends Bundle hadn't seen ink yet so I knew I had to use it. Plus, I bought several new sets that I also used here. Yay, me!  (BTW, all of the products I used here are on sale!!!) ðŸ˜‰

I initially had a completely different layout in mind so I started by stamping three shades of pandas using the Altenew's Rock Collection . The version you see on my card was stamped with Pure Graphite and Industrial Diamond. All of the blues are from the Cool Summer Night set. You can find all the individual colours in the supply links below.

The glasses from the Winter Wear Bundle were stamped with Jet Black. The scarf, also from the  Winter Wear Bundle, was stamped with Ocean Waves. The book is from the Daily Wear Bundle and it was stamped with Pure Graphite. I masked and decorated the book with leaves from the Furry Friends Bundle. The leaves were stamped with Ocean Waves and Dusk.

I curated a custom sentiment using phrases from the Daily Wear Bundle and Perfectly Penned. The sentiment was stamped with Industrial Diamond and Ocean Waves. To finish, I masked off a border at the top and bottom of the panel and stamped the Gingham Background in Sea Glass, Ocean Waves and Desert Night.

Two Many Cards Video Series feat. Spellbinders + Giveaway!

Hi, everyone! Samantha Mann and I are back with new videos for Two Many CardsIf you're new to this series, please visit my original post HERE, which explains how and why we're sharing our own unique take on the same products.

Today, we're so excited to be featuring the super adorable Easter-themed Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders Paper Arts. This die set features a total of nine dies and you can make 3D gift baskets, as well as cards, home decor and more!

I used the same colour theme on both my projects.  The white linen cardstock is from Ellen Hutson and all of the coloured cardstock is from Simon Says Stamp. For your shopping convenience, you can find the links in the supply list below.

I created the 3D Easter basket using three of the dies in the Large Die of the Month club kit. I used three more dies to cut the two types of foliage and flowers.

The card was made using two of the three dies for the basket. I used the same three dies for the foliage and flowers, except I didn't turn the greenery in the basket into flowers. Instead, I added the flowers to the bunnies' ears. I used the remaining three dies to create the two bunnies and their ear and tail details.

I used distress ink and a blender brush to do some light sponging on the bunnies and to anchor the basket. The sentiment is from Concord and 9th's Fine Line Florals stamp set (on sale right now!).
