Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop + Sketch #110 {Jan 10th}

Welcome to Sketch Challenge #110 and the release of Grunge Two! If you just came from Stephanie's blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened along my blog today, start at the beginning of the hop at Skipping Stones Design. Aside from myself, this month's Guest Designers are Candice Fields and Julie Day. Pamela Young is providing all the fabulous sketch inspiration this month including the sketch we're using in today's hop.

As you can see, I took my liberties with this sketch but I hope you can see the different elements in it. The card is a one-layer and I used quite a bit of masking. The yellow splattered background is the largest square, the green and blue frame is the smaller square in the centre and the chevrons are the band in between the two squares. The other splatter sections are just background material and, of course, the sentiment is obvious. Grunge Two is a fantastic set and it's going to get a lot of use from me!

Thank you for stopping by! Now it's time to head over to Taylor's blog for more Skipping Stones Design inspiration.

Be sure to hop along and leave comments on all the fabulous designers' blogs. Jingle will be giving away a free stamp set of her choice!

I really like this card, like the multiple colors you used for the splatter background, and how you lined up that small piece to match the zigzag stamp. Very neat!

Nice colors Emily! I like that splotchy pattern and those chevrons a lot. I already like Grunge Vol. 1 so I am psyched there is a Vol. 2 now as well. YAAY! NEW SSD!
