{Paper Smooches} September Release Party!

Hello and welcome to the Paper Smooches September 2013 Release Party! Join us over at the Splitcoast Forum for the next two hours HERE. Bring a friend and comment for a chance to win prizes! It's going to be so much fun. I hope to see you there.

As soon as I saw the Free Spirits (TAM) set and the Girls Night Out sentiment, I knew I wanted to pair it with all of the female characters. I pulled the princess from the new release Royal Cuteness (previously seen HERE), the lady from Jive Turkey and the farm girl from Green Acres. I used the Dude Block to reverse stamp the lady from Jive Turkey since I needed her facing the opposite direction for this design to work. I gave them all drinks from Free Spirits in colours matching the party confetti. I coloured their heads and left their clothing and accessories uncoloured, but I gave them blue outlines to allow the Free Spirits stamps and dies to pop. Free Spirits is FREE with any $60 purchase between September 1 through 30, 2013.

Thank you so much for your support of Paper Smooches! Have fun shopping tonight!! :D

{Mama Elephant} Simply Wonderful

I was commissioned to make a last-minute wedding card for tomorrow. Based on the couple's wedding colours (shown at left), I came up with this design using Mama Elephant's Lovely Mums and Smitten stamp sets. I masked 'you are' off the sentiment and tucked it in between the petals. I tried to incorporate the green with cardstock, ink and twine but no matter what I tried, it looked terrible. In the end, I decided the card would be better without it. The buyer was pleased with the end result, which is what counts.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you all a wonderful Labour Day weekend!
