My card features two stamps from one of the upcoming releases, Nine Lives. This set is filled with the cutest cats you can imagine and it comes with super fun sentiments, too! Much like last month's release of Woofers & Tweeters which was perfect for canine lovers, this one will thrill the feline lovers out there.

Our cat has been known to destroy a thing or two with her nails. She wears nail covers now because my husband knows that I will choose the furniture over the cat. LOL I used a punch and two dies to create the ground and the notebook die represents a sort of shredded carpet. The washi tape was a Christmas gift from a cat-lover friend of mine so I'll send this to her as a thank you. Fitting, don't you think? ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Remember to check back here on Saturday to see if you are the lucky winner of Nine Lives!

{Paper Smooches} For My Best Pal + Merry Christmas!

Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It features the Maltese dog, bowl, bones and a sentiment from Woofers & Tweeters. The very top bone tied with a bow is from Santa Paws. I framed the cute pup and her sky-high pile of bones inside an instant camera die from Lil' Inker Designs. The pretty purple cardstock is from the Ed Collection available at the Paper Smooches Store. The patterned papers are from Crate Paper's On Trend paper pad and the numbered washi tape is from Cavallini & Co.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas with your families! Last night, we were in the emergency room for three hours because my son had an ear infection and he was in so much pain. He was crying and screaming the entire time. After the nurse gave him some Tylenol, he fell asleep. If it's not bedtime and he's not in his bed, he would never sleep. That proves how bad he was feeling. There were so many sick kids at the hospital. I feel so bad for all of them and their parents for having to be there on Christmas Eve as we were. It was exhausting. Lucky for us, we had a great morning opening presents and relaxing. I am hoping we can all make a full recovery between now and New Year's since we've all been sick this past week. Here's to a healthy holiday vacation!

{Paper Smooches} Love You Always

Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It features words from We Connect, Mommy penguin from Winter Groves and a baby penguin from Woofers & Tweeters. I covered the card base with paper from Basic Grey's Serenade paper pad and stamped on it. Then I die cut some wonky scalloped borders and stitched them on to the card. Lastly, I stamped, fussy cut the penguins and adhered them to the hills with foam tape.

I am super sick battling the full-blown flu. My son is also sick with another virus and has a horrendous cough. The past 24 hours has been extremely difficult and I am so weak now that I can barely stand. I hope tomorrow is a huge improvement because I have so much to do!

{Studio Calico} 09Dec12 Sunday Sketch

I love Christmas but all the prep work is exhausting! I wasn't feeling well all weekend and my son starting coughing again, too. I really miss being well when I'm sick. Oh, health, where are you? :) At least I had time to freely create. It's been ages since that's happened. I chose to play along with the December 9th Sunday Sketch on the Studio Calico Blog. It was great sketch and this is what I came up with, something bright and happy to negate the dreary weather and my mood!

I die cut the navy panel using the Stitched Mat Collection: Rectangles from Lil' Inker Designs, then cut banners from the Abroad 6x6 paper pack. I trimmed straight edges on the two largest ones but followed the lines on the chevron pattern using scissors. For the sentiment, I stamped the word bubble from Hey Y'All and words from Heyday Sentiments. Then I trimmed it and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I finished the card by adhering three wood veneer stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great start to your week.
