Today we are featuring Rainbows & Clouds. Like all Lil' Inker sets, this set of beautiful dies has a coordinating stamp set full of amazing sentiments. Let's have a look at how I've used the Rainbows & Clouds dies and sentiments.

In the graphics, I've marked in red which parts of the set I've used to create my card. The sentiment on the cloud is one I pieced together from two different sentiments in this set. Mixing and matching parts of sentiments is one of my favourite things to do and this makes Rainbows & Clouds even more versatile! The rollercoaster carts are made with the ends of the Sentiment Flags die and the bottom sentiment comes from that set as well. Just like I demonstrated in my first card for Lil' Inker Designs HERE, I love how easy it is to mix and match sets!

I'm going to send this card to my sweet friend Kasia Curry who broke her leg pretty badly a couple days before she was scheduled to go to St. Lucia to attend a wedding. Big ouch! I sure hope it brings her a smile. All of the patterned papers used on this card are by Echo Park and the cart wheels are double twine knots made with The Twinery's Charcoal baker's twine. As always, you can find a complete source list at the end of this post.

Also, I need to credit Gallery Idol Top 5 Finalist Meg Craig with this idea of using the rainbows as a rollercoaster. The styling and execution is all my own obviously. Things have been a little rough for me for more than a week and I haven't had any mojo for about ten days now so I called on a few of my closest crafty friends for a little brainstorming session. That's what they're there for, right? ;) I literally had one hour to make and photograph this card in between flash thunderstorms and condo showings yesterday. At least now I have a whole bunch of other great ideas using Rainbows & Clouds so hopefully time will allow me to show them to you sooner rather than later!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope I've inspired you to play with our Rainbows & Clouds set. Please be sure to leave a comment here because Lil' Inker Designs is giving away some pretty terrific prizes! The deadline for commenting is 11:59pm EST, Sunday, August 14th.

Your next stop on the hop is Ariana Grant!

very sweet card, Emily! At first I thought the roller coaster wagons were little cats hiding behind that pink line ... need to get some glasses lol. Also love the colours!! Janna

SO cute :)

Lizscraps said...

I must admit I thought the roller coaster carts were three stylized kitten's heads simply popping up in a row over the back of an ornate antique couch back. Guess it IS all in how you look at things. In any case super clever and TFS
