{Paper Smooches} Shaker Cards: 3 Types + Video!

In this photo-heavy post, I'm sharing three types of shaker cards as well as a video showing how I made all of these from start-to-finish. This first card uses the Duo Die 2, Zoo Crew and Tick Tock. The shaker is a simple frame and the sequins move across a stamped centre.

The card base was dry embossed with a Candy Stripes embossing folder and the beautiful purple frame uses Blue Violet cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

This second card is for my cousin's son's fourth birthday. I used patterned paper from Crate Paper's Styleboard 6x6 paper pad to create the scene and paper piece the animals. I used Borders 1 Dies, Zoo Crew and Zoo 2 Dies.

The number four is from the Digits Dies and it's the centre of the microbeads shaker element on this card. The sentiment is from the Digits stamp set.

This last card would be fun to give to a boy on any day to provide a lift or smile. I used the Bam Bubble Die to house the Stars Dies which provide the shaker element on this card. The superhero from the Super stamp set and Super 2 Dies complements the patterned paper from Crate Paper's Boys Rule 6x6 paper pad.

Here's how all three cards came together:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Loved learning your techniques for making shaker cards. Mine are similar but you are neater. I especially love the superhero one because of the comic book look and the unique use of die cuts for shaker elements. Tomorrow I was planning to make a birthday card and now I am pretty certain it will have a shaker element :D Thanks for inspiring!
