Ruby's Bridal Shower Blog Hop + Giveaways!

Today, we're celebrating the marriage of Rubeena Ianigro (nee Naz)! Congratulations, Ruby! I wish you and Steve a lifetime of happiness!! Amy Tsuruta organized this amazing blog hop with cards for Ruby and Steve, with wedding cake inspiration. Of course, no celebration is complete without a giveaway. Details are below!

I used Winnie & Walter stamps and dies since they are one of the generous sponsors of this blog hop. I thought the textured white cream on the cake looked like woodgrain cardstock so I used that for my front panel, which I die cut using the Katharine Cutaways. I dry embossed it with an embossing folder, then light-washed it with grey distress ink. After the panel dried, I splattered it with mists.

Since the inspiration photo has a lot of gold, I die cut the big sentiment from The Big, Bold and Party Cutaways in gold glitter cardstock, and created a shadow with black cardstock to make it more noticeable against the textured background. The banner, flowers and leaves from The Big, Bold and Extras were heat embossed before being watercoloured with distress inks.

Three lucky winners will be selected from all of the comments left on this hop. One will win a $20 from Kennedy Grace Creations, one will win a $25 gift certificate from Mama Elephant, and one will win a $30 gift certificate from Winnie & Walter. The more you comment, the higher your chances of winning! Commenting will close on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:59 p.m. PST. Winners will be posted on Amy's blog on Sunday, October 23rd. Good luck and happy hopping!

Thanks so much for celebrating and hopping with us!
