Christmas Blog Hop with Technique Tuesday
Hello and welcome to our Mini Christmas Blog Hop! Technique Tuesday released new Christmas Products in August and September and more festive products will be released in October and November!
I'm featuring the adorable and whimsical Christmas Birds stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is on the smaller side at 3" x 4" so I made three very different cards to show its versatility.
Now that I have Cars on the Road, I had to pair it up with Christmas Birds. I cut off the back window to make a convertible and cut out an extra wing to place on the outside, as if the bird is feeling the breeze.
All of the images on these cards were coloured with Copic markers and the colours are all listed below. I coloured the car with Copic markers to match the blues on the other cards. The wheels and road were die cut with glitter cardstock. I also curved the sentiment to follow the shape of the road die.
My second card features a group of carollers and their little music book is from Planner Bookworm. I added a little gold bow to one of the carollers to match the gold wheels on the car from the previous card.
This card features a few more layers than I normally use but I love the red frame against the black and white stripes.
My third card brings in the sleigh full of gifts as well as the harness, which was used on the first card to represent speed or exhaust from the car. I used just the single curved die from Cars on the Road to create the glittery snow hills.
I used a snowfall embossing folder to create visual interest at the top of the card. I didn't have the exact shade of ink to match the Copic markers so I overlapped two different blues to create the perfect shade. I used this same technique for the red sentiment on the first card.
PRIZES: Technique Tuesday is giving away a $20 gift certificate to one lucky winner who leaves a comment along the way! The more you comment, the greater your chances of winning.
