{My Favorite Things} MFT & Friends | August 2019 Release

Hi, friends! I'm so happy to be joining My Favorite Things and their MFT & Friends feature for the August 2019 Release. The MFT design team is joined by several guest designers to inspire you with the new products!

By now, I think you are all well-aware how crazy I am about squirrels so I feel like the Squirrel! Stamp Set and coordinating Squirrel! Die-namics were made just for me! I was super excited to see it and there was plenty of squealing when I realized I would get to guest design with these cuties.

I started this card by stamping a bunch of the images with archival ink and watercoloring them with distress inks, all of which are listed below in the supply links. Then I sponged the background with Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord distress inks. I splattered the background with both shimmer spritz and white color shine.

I die cut the grass using the new Tucked-In Turf - Vertical Die-namics but I modified it so it extended to 4.25" wide and I also cut off the tuft on the very bottom. After the splattered background dried, I stamped the sentiment and assembled the card, popping the grass and squirrels with foam tape, as well as the branch and acorn on the right side of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to visit the MFT blog to see what the other guests and design team are sharing. :)

{Catherine Pooler Designs} July 2019 Club Sursee | Part 3

I'm sharing one more card using the beautiful Find Your Happy stamp set and coordinating dies from from Catherine Pooler's Deluxe Club Sursee subscription for July 2019. I had previously shared an Instagram post of all the stamped and die cut flowers and I'm so happy that I finally found a tiny bit of time between hospital and rehab visits with my mom to put this card together.

I arranged the flowers in two clusters at opposite corners of the ink-blended background and adhered some flat with mini glue dots, while other pieces were popped up with foam tape for dimension and visual interest. I used the same three inks for the ink-blended background (Tiara, Tiki Torch and Party Dress) to create an ombre effect for the sentiment.

If you're interested in joining Club Sursee, visit the links below for information on both the Basic and Deluxe subscriptions.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
