Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | August 2022

If you're a Basic Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, you're going to love the tropical vibes of the August 2022 surprise! For these two cards, I chose Tutti Frutti, Buttercream, Sea Glass, Fiesta Blue and Macchiato. I stamped the images with black ink on Neenah heavyweight before watercoloring them with the inks listed above.

I used the Hey Tweetie stamp set with coordinating dies for this first card. The large sentiment was stamped with Sea Glass and the small sentiment was stamped with Fiesta Blue. I set all the images aside to dry while I worked on the background.

Using an A2 panel of Neenah heavyweight, I used blending brushes to add ButtercreamFiesta Blue and  Sea Glass. Then I splattered Fiesta Blue and gold paint across the background. After the panel dried, I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Head in the Clouds embossing folder.

To finish, I attached the panel to a white linen card base, popped on the images with foam tape and embellished with a few vintage shimmer pearls which match the Buttercream ink perfectly.

My second card features the Tropics Floral stamp set with coordinating dies. This set features solid images so I brought in a few extra ink colours to create an ombre effect. In addition to the colours listed above, I also used Orange Peel, Minted, Oh Boy!Macchiato and S'mores.

First, I used the 2-3/4" round acrylic block to create a watercolored splotch on the Neenah heavyweight base panel. Then I used the 4-7/8" x 6-1/8" acrylic block to create additional splotches in Fiesta Blue and  Tutti Frutti. When the panel was dry, I splattered gold paint across the background.

To stamp the images, I used ButtercreamOrange Peel and Tutti Frutti for the flowers, Minted with Sea Glass for the large leaves and Oh Boy! plus Fiesta Blue for the stalks. I used blending brushes to create a more seamless transition between shades.

Before adhering the stamped images to the base, I stamped the sentiment with Macchiato and S'mores inks. I also cut additional shadow layers of some of the flower and leaf layers from gold glitter cardstock. To finish, I added some sequins from the Vegas, Baby! sequin mix.

Catherine Pooler is offering a bonus stamp set with coordinating dies for new Club Sursee subscribers! This offer ends at 11:59pm EST on August 14, 2022.

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | December 2021 | Part 4 of 4

Today's inspiration is for Catherine Pooler's Basic Club Sursee and Deluxe Club Sursee subscribers with the December 2021 surprises. If you missed my previous posts HERE, HERE and HERE featuring the Warm and Cozy and Classic Adornments stamp sets, I hope you'll check them out!

Today's card also features the Warm Wishes Word Die, which is only included in the Deluxe Club Sursee subscription, along with the coordinating dies for the Warm and Cozy stamp set with the amazing thermoses. The Classic Adornments stamp set is filled with gorgeous florals and accent stamps. I rarely use all the tiny stamps this way but after making this card, I'm going to have to do it more often!

I created a front window panel and mask using the Nested Oval Dies, then stamped all of the flowers from Classic Adornments and the small berries from Warm and Cozy. As with all my cards for this month's Sursee, the colours were inspired by the A Little Drizzle Slimline Patterned Paper pack.

I die cut the Warm Wishes Word Die three times, using Juniper Mist and the ink-to-paper technique on the top layer, silver glitter cardstock for the shadow and an extra layer beneath that for added dimension.

If you're not already subscribed, I hope you'll consider subscribing to either Basic Club Sursee (two stamp sets) or Deluxe Club Sursee (two stamp sets and two dies) because these monthly kits never disappoint!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | December 2021 | Part 3 of 4

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Today's inspiration is for Catherine Pooler's Basic Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscribers with the December 2021 surprises. As I mentioned in my previous posts HERE and HERE featuring the Warm and Cozy and Classic Adornments stamp sets, this month's theme is warm winter wishes, get well and general encouragement.

This card uses more of the beautiful thermoses and a sweet sentiment from the Warm and Cozy, plus layered floral stamps from Classic Adornments. Again, my colour choices were inspired by the A Little Drizzle Slimline Patterned Paper pack. The thermoses and holly were stamped previously when I made my first card.

I cut the panel using the Scallops & Dots Dies, then glued it on an additional layer for just a bit of dimension. Before attaching the thermoses and holly with foam tape, I stamped the flowers and sentiment in my mini MISTI stamping tool.

This card is a great way to combine the two stamp sets included in both the Club Sursee and Deluxe Club Sursee subscriptions. I hope you're enjoying your December surprises and finding new ways to use these beautiful stamp sets!

I'll be back soon with a closer look at one more card I made with these stamps and dies. If you're not already subscribed, I hope you'll consider subscribing because these monthly kits never disappoint.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | December 2021 | Part 2 of 4

I'm back with more inspiration for Catherine Pooler's Basic Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscribers. As I mentioned in my previous post featuring the Warm and Cozy stamp set and coordinating dies, this month's theme is warm winter wishes, get well and general encouragement.

Today's card uses the three hexagons from the stamp set with a sentiment from Classic Adornments, the other stamp set which you'll see more of soon. Once again, my colour scheme is based on the A Little Drizzle Slimline Patterned Paper.

I stamped all three hexagons in seven of the eight colours featured in the A Little Drizzle Slimline Patterned Paper pack -- It's a Girl, Coral Cabana, Samba, Limoncello, Lemongrass, Cummerbund and Suede Shoes.

I trimmed a 1/4" sliver of the striped patterned paper and attached it to the card base. Then I trimmed a 4" x 5.5" panel, stamping the sentiment from Classic Adornments in Juniper Mist. After arranging the hexagons around the sentiment, I popped up some with foam tape and glued others flat on to the panel. To finish the card, I added a few sequins from the Romance Sequin Mix to the centres of some of the hexagons.

If you're a Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, I hope you're enjoying your December surprises and finding new ways to use these beautiful stamp sets. I'll be back soon with a closer look at the other cards I made with these stamps and dies.

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | December 2021 | Part 1 of 4

If you're a Basic Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, you're going to fall instantly in love with the  December 2021 surprise! This month's theme is warm winter wishes, get well and general encouragement. If you love warm drinks, hexagons and florals, you're going to flip over these sets. My colour scheme is based on the A Little Drizzle Slimline Patterned Paper and I love to make all my Sursee cards for the month with the same colours so they photograph nicely. It also makes it easier to plan out all my cards!

This card features the Warm and Cozy stamp set and coordinating dies. If you're a Basic Club Sursee subscribe, you'll receive two stamp sets and if you're a Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, you'll receive two stamp sets and two dies. The dies are usually the coordinating dies to one of the stamp sets and a stand-alone die.

As you know, I'm a huge fan of drink-related stamp sets, especially when they're layering sets. Look at these cute thermoses, both modern and vintage! I love that they all have separate lids that you can stamp in different colours. They're too cute! All of the fill-in stamps are included, except the holly that I used to stamp the first slender thermos. I used a retired Sursee set called Sleigh Bells Ring but the holly from Let's Go Skating would look great and probably even better.

If you're a Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, your goodies are in transit and you'll be receiving your December 2021 goodies soon or maybe you already have them in your crafty hands! I hope you're inspired to create with this month's products and I'll be back soon with a closer look at the other cards I made with these stamps and dies.

Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | September 2021 | Part 3 of 3

I'm back with one last inspiration post for the September 2021 Deluxe Club Sursee and this time I used all of the colours included in the Bright Idea Slimline Patterned Paper! Since I wanted all of the colours to be featured on all of the butterfly images included in the Take Flight stamp set, I needed to use a slimline card base.

I used the Essentials Slimline Die to create the scalloped panel. Then I stamped all of the butterflies with the ink pads in rainbow order, doubling and tripling up on the inks to create an ombre effect on all of the butterflies.

Once all of the butterflies were done, I use the dies to cut matte gold foil shadows and adhered the two layers together. Once I determined the arrangement or flow of the butterflies down the length of the slimline card, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

To finish, I popped up some of the butterflies with foam tape and adhered others directly on the panel with liquid glue

I didn't take close-ups of the other two thank you cards I made with the largest scripted sentiment in the Thank You Many Ways stamp set, along with the diamonds from Take Flight. One is a one-layer card and the other is a white panel with scored frame on a black card base.

If you're a Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, your September 2021 goodies should be arriving soon! I hope you're inspired by all of my samples this month. As most of you know, I was a Club Ambassador before being a Brand Ambassador so it felt so good to be creating for Club Sursee again this month, just like old times. Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler Designs | September 2021 | Part 2 of 3

I'm back with more inspiration for the September 2021 Deluxe Club Sursee and this time I went ultra clean and simple, using the Circle Weave Die in a non-traditional way. Again, my colour scheme is based on the Bright Idea Slimline Patterned Paper and, this time, I used the brighter end of the spectrum.

First, I die cut three of the Circle Weave Die from heavyweight cardstock. I also die cut the three circles from a panel of A2-sized masking paper. I secured the negative section of the masking paper to the card base. Then I used removable tape to secure one die cut in its positive space. I used blending brushes and Pink Champagne, Rose Petals, Shea Butter and Sauna inks to blend the weave pattern on to both the die cut itself and as a stencil on the card base.

After all three circles were ink blended, I removed both the masking paper and the inked up die cuts. I used a basic circle die from my stash that is slightly smaller than the Circle Weave Die to create a thin ring, which I adhered to the card base using Bearly Art liquid glue. I used my scissors to trim off the overhanging sections and stamped the sentiment from the Thank You Many Ways stamp set using Cove Blue ink.

If you're a Club Sursee or Deluxe Club Sursee subscriber, your September 2021 goodies should be arriving soon! I hope you're inspired to create with this month's products and I'll be back soon with a closer look at the other cards I made with these stamps and dies.
