This brings me to today's card which I made for a colleague's upcoming baby shower. Even though I'm currently on a one-year maternity leave, I like to drop by the office every week or two with my little guy to say hello to everyone. I really miss the social aspect of being at work! Another colleague ordered matching birthday cards for her stylin' twin sisters and I started working on them but ran into a creative rut so I put those aside and made this baby card. The idea for this card actually popped into my head while I was putting my son down for a nap. I didn't end up making it the way I imagined with a 'baby boy' sign hanging from the bottles but it's a nice variation. I really wanted to use a wider alphabet ribbon from Urban Scrapyard but, as hard as I tried, I couldn't tie a decent bow with it. I punched out the stars from the same background paper so the colours would match perfectly. Since the stars are randomly placed, the blue bow completes the bottom opening nicely.
