When a friend asked me to make a baby card for a shower she's attending this weekend, I thought "Great!" I love making baby cards and figured this one would be easy. I was wrong because it had to be gender neutral as she doesn't know if the couple is having a boy or girl. It was much harder than I thought to stick to yellow, green and purple. I didn't want it to look drabby or plain either. I ended up using my tried, tested and true SU set A New Little Someone and paper pieced the bunny as I did here. After seeing all the two-toned stuffed animals out there these days I thought I would try that with this card. I added subtle glitter to the white areas but you can't see it in the photograph. Since the bunny was rather plain given the yellow and white colour, I decided to go with a very colourful background. I love this animal dp and haven't had the occasion to use it much. I added stitching to the edge of the paper and also popped on a couple of baby things thus the bottle and rattle. The final result looked too busy at first but after I photographed it I thought it looked great. The camera never lies!
