Pink Cat Studio ~ Oct 1st Digi Release!

Happy Thursday! I'm so delighted to be showing you the new Pink Cat Studio digi stamps for this week. When I first saw this image, so many ideas ran through my head and I had to quickly grab a piece of paper and jot them down before I forgot! Itty Bitty Betty hugging a flower is so sweet. It only seemed right to use papers from the DCWV Green Stack. I flipped through the stack and finally decided on the two patterns I would use, plus the simpler base colours from other sources. I've never set an image off-centre like this but the paper was too pretty to be covered up and it looks as if Betty just ran in through the forest to hug the flower. The image and paper complement each other so perfectly. I can't help but smile when I look at this card!

How many times did I have to print this image to get all these layers? Five! If I had thought it through it would've only been four. LOL The original image was printed on white cardstock and that's what I used my Copics on. Then I had to print the flower petals on vanilla, the blue weave around the flower's face, and the green for the flower face and leaf. It's not as much cutting as you'd think and I just love the subtle layers. I used a pretty salmon red to colour Betty's dress and shoes just to add a bright splash of colour to this very earthy card. Lastly, I popped the leaf to make it look like a loving arm around Betty.

Here are all of this week's new digi releases:
