Pack 'n Play for Baby

We were at a baby shower this afternoon for my cousin and his wife and this is the card I made for them! The giraffe and monkey is another Pink Cat Studio digital image I hadn't played with yet. I coloured it in a few days ago before I called Li'l Niblets and Baby Sprouts to order the baby gift. We were going to pick up the pack 'n play from their registry but it happened to be out of stock so I decided to try and create my own template. Since I've never used a template before it took me quite a while to conceptualize the pack 'n play. I was still working on the card half an hour before we were due to leave for the baby shower!

After I finished creating the pack 'n' play, I thought about just wrapping it on a green bow on a matching cardstock base (to maintain the neutral colours since we didn't know the sex of the baby) but my husband said they might not know what it was if I covered up that much of it. Besides, I really wanted to use the giraffe and monkey since the monkey matched the pack 'n play they chose. Under pressure, I decided I would just tuck the cut out image inside the pack 'n' play, so the recipients could pull it out. Cute, eh? I finished the card in a hurry and it definitely could've turned out better had I given myself more time. Oh well! I have some other ideas about how to make that pack 'n play look more realistic. ;)
