UAC22 Guest Designer

I am so thrilled to be guest designer for the Unity Addicts Challenge this week! I'm still fairly new to the Unity family (oh, how I love them) and I couldn't stop smiling when Maria asked me to be a guest designer. The best part was being able to choose the type of challenge for my week. I had so many ideas but since I've been having so much fun experimenting with felt lately, I wanted to use that in my challenge. So this week's UAC22 challenge is to stamp on felt or fabric. It's your choice!

I think the leaves (or trees, as my son calls them) from the September KOTM are my favourite images in that set and, thinking back to this card, I thought the outline leaf would make beautiful petals. After some experimentation, I discovered that Memories ink works best when stamping red rubber stamps on to felt but Staz-On ink works best when stamping clear polymer stamps on to felt. I stamped six petals (just in case; I only used five here) and cut them out. I wanted the felt to be the focus, of course, so I kept the rest of the card in neutral colours. The centre of the flower was made with a combination of the cloud and sunbeams as well as the dandelions from the June KOTM. I also used the dandelion centres on these cards and I love the way it looks! The sentiment is the same combination of two sentiments from the June KOTM that I used on this card. I love that this card will work for any occasion.

I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week! Please head over to the Unity Challenges forum to find out more and see what set you could win just by playing along with us this week. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely day!

Beautiful work, Emily! That felt flower is amazing, and looks wonderful against the kraft. Thank you for your tips aboput which inks work best with which type of stamp on felt. I have actually recently got some felt and was wondering how it would look being stamped!!

Hey, that flower would look really poinsettia-like in red, no? Hmm...!
