So Grateful for You

Howdy! How are you all? A friend took me out for brunch this morning at the Thompson Hotel's restaurant, The Counter, where I had the most delicious belgian waffles. It was a late birthday gift and I really enjoyed some much-needed girly time. Since last week was so busy and I didn't have much time to craft, I was determined to partake in today's World Cardmaking Day festivities on the Unity forum!

The first card I made is for the USCWCMD17 - No Patterned Paper challenge. Patterned paper and I haven't been getting along lately so this was the perfect challenge for me! LOL Canadian Thanksgiving is October 11th and I have a few cards I need to send out. The pumpkins from the September KOTM were too awesome to resist. I used that along with a sentiment from the same kit mixed with another from the June KOTM. Something I've been loving lately is hanging a bit of an image off the edge of the card. I did this again here with the curly stem and heart, subtracting the same distance from the card base so that the card still fits in a standard envelope. To finish, I popped the image on to a brown panel, added twine and popped the panel on to the card base.

Beautiful CAS card - I really like the effect of having a part of the card overlapping the edge.

Pretty pumpkins! Hey, if I send a Thanksgiving card to Canada tomorrow, maybe it'll get there by US Thanksgiving. Maybe.

I am in love with this card! It has lots of dimension but is still very clean looking. ♥
