Pink Cat Studio ~ Jun 2nd Digi Release!

It's Thursday and we're headed to the circus! The Pink Cat Studio digi circus, that is. Aren't these owls and mice the cutest? I love these for the smiles they bring and also for all the colour possibilities! My card features the Clown Owls on Stilts.

When my son saw my card, he wanted it, of course, but it's going to another little boy. I left out that part. ;) The question he kept asking me was, "Why those two down there?" Why, why, why, why, why. The questions are endless but they make me laugh... mostly... sometimes. LOL

This card was easy to make. The most time-consuming part was the colouring, which I did, for the first time, with my glasses on (more on that later). Then I stamped the sentiment which I pieced from Paper Smooches' Pretty Phrases and popped the image with dimensionals. To finish, I rounded two of the outside corners.

I don't normally wear my glasses unless I'm driving, sitting at the back of a lecture, meeting, etc. Part of the reason I've been absent from the blog for a full six days is because I had a health scare. I wasn't paying enough attention to myself and doing too much for other people. Now that my body has warned me to slow down, well, I'm going to listen! My mojo also pulled a vanishing act again so you'll forgive me if you don't see me posting too often, right? I'll be here if inspiration strikes and there's a card I absolutely have to make, but until then I'm going to try to relax a bit more. Knowing me, that's easier said than done but I think it says a lot that the avid-reader in me is enjoying reading a book for the first time in two years!!! :)

Ooooh, looks like the circus is in town! What a great card. And to answer your son's question, the two are down there because they are FREAKIN' ADORABLE (yes, you should emphasize that when you tell him the answer).

Glad to hear you are taking some time for yourself and enjoying a good book!

Great coloring job, and really the first job should be you (and the precious little man), the cards can wait. The blogging world is patience, we'll leave you blogging love whenever you get around to posting, no hurry.

Emily, I always love your clean and simple cards!! Great coloring and love those rounded corners. I think slowing down on the blogging would probably be good for me too. Take good care of yourself and enjoy your book. I just started one recently myself. Nothing is more enjoyable than relaxing and reading a great book!!! (=

Such cute cards, beautifully coloured as always. But, that pales into insignificance compared to your health. Crafting should be a joy that is fun yet relaxing and as Erin says we are a patient bunch. Hope you are feeling more like yourself soon and glad to hear you are enjoying a good book (if it helps I don't think I've managed to read a good book in 5 years! Only the odd one that has taken me months, not days, to read!)

Love & Hugs, Heather

That's the least-scary clown I've ever seen, and that's saying something, don't you think?
Love your coloring, love the "two down there," and the sentiment is a perfect match.
Now get back to that book already! Good for you.

This card is so much fun, Emily, and your coloring on it is awesome. I love how you made the card a long shape to match the height of the stilts and how you popped him up. So sorry to hear that you've had a health scare, but I'm truly glad that it's helped you focus on yourself and and remind you that *you* need to take care of *you*! Enjoy your time relaxing! I'll look forward to popping in whenever you have time in your schedule of relaxation to share some of your art. :)

Hi Emily, Cute, cute images here! You are making me want to go digital...I'm just not quite there yet (neither is my printer!)
Remember to be good to yourself- we ladies all get lost in everybody else, and it really can be exhausting. Glad to hear you are taking a little break. Take care Emily, be well.

Totally adorable card :) Maybe you should REALLY go to the circus for some fun...lol. Take care of yourself. I know that with the weather finally being nice here, I have so much to do outside, that blogging/commenting will have to take a back seat. Do what you have to do and enjoy that book!

The coloring is SPOT on! I love it! And you poor boy rarely gets the card he likes, huh? I feel for him. Perhaps his mama should make duplicate ones just so he can claim one :) Hope you are enjoying a little break and do take care of yourself! xoxo
