Love You Dearly

Miss me? :) I have a little card to share with you today. It's a quick and easy Paper Smooches card I made ages ago but never shared. It's a shaped card made with Reverse Wonky Rectangles and stamped with hearts from Falling for You and a sentiment from Pretty Phrases. This would make a sweet quick and easy gift set, too!

***

The past week has been a blur, especially the last four days. Moving day went really well but it was exceptionally hot and it thunderstormed in the last quarter of the move. Luckily, the truck was able to back up right to the porch and they were racing across the ramp with everything. Still, that didn't make for any wonderful smells in our new home which hubby had cleaned from top to bottom before we moved in! I can't get it clean enough and the washer and dryer have been running non-stop. Hubby and I have been working 18 hour days trying to get as much done as we can to make the house feel like home. He and our son love it. Me? Not to much. We thought our son might have a hard time adjusting but it turns out it's me. Almost everything feels wrong and awkward. Well, it'll probably take some time, right? Hopefully. It's just my personality to want everything perfect... like right now! I'm so demanding. :)

I haven't felt crafty at all. The tiredness might have something to do with it and also the fact that I didn't have internet for three days so I got hooked on reading The Help. Thanks to Lindsey and Meg for recommending it. It is so good. Now I'm recommending it to all of you!

Oh, and don't forget to play in The Moving Challenge! Click on the link or on the photo on my sidebar for all the details. Gorgeous baker's twine from The Twinery is up for grabs to three random players!

Hi Emily! So nice to hear from you! Glad you are in your home, now just take a deep breath and everything will come together, I promise! I can totally understand that you want it to feel right immediately, I am like that too, but you need to settle into it over time! Love that CAS card! I think I may need to get some Paper Smooches to come my way!

Super cute card, I love the shape and the bling in the hearts. I hope things get settled in quickly. I am the same way when I move, even if I love where I am living, it takes me a while to get adjusted and feel like it is "home". Moving out of my house and into my husband's after we were married took me a while to get used too. As we moved the last boxes out I burst into tears! Hoping you are settled soon.

Happy new house too, before you know it you will be all settled in and wanting to change wall colors etc - then it will be your "home" :>)

I'm glad to see you pop in - love these wonky rectangles, and like bicycles, you are making me covet something I originally had no interest in ;)
I loved "The Help"- I couldn't put it down. I want her to write something else, quickly.
It will take time for the house to smell *right*, and obviously to get everything how you like it. That doesn't make the process any easier. That's why, even though our house is in need of a lot of work, and is way too small, I still say all the time that the only way I'm ever moving again is in a body bag. And I'm only partly joking.
