Growing in Unity {Day 3}

We're halfway through the week and I have another Unity card to share with you! Can you tell I'm still hooked on making cards that encourage? :) I started with the glasses from One of a Kind. I've tried to use the glasses with the sentiment attached so many times and failed. So this time, I decided I was finally going to cut off the sentiment. Now I can use the glasses freely with anything I want. When I cut off the sentiment, I cut it jaggedly so I could always put the three pieces back together easily on an acrylic block.

The sentiment is from the February 2011 Kit of the Month, The Best is Yet To Be. I stamped it directly on top of the glasses in black, two more times in olive and pink, trimmed out the two words and adhered the two pieces to the card. The beautiful frame is one of my favourite Unity stamps and it's from With Love.

Don't forget, if you comment on all five Growing in Unity posts this week, you could win two itty bitty stamps of your choice from Unity Stamp Company!

I flipping love this card! I could have never made that frame and the glasses go together but you rocked it. The popped up/brighter sections of the sentiment. You are brilliant.

I love the colour combo you've used, Emily! And glasses...I'm going to pick out new ones today, but I'm thinking probably not orange ;) And that sentiment is so far beyond true it's ridiculous, really!

What a wonderful card...loving the glasses and the color combo!

So smart -- those glasses will be way more versatile now that the sentiment's optional! And the sentiment you substituted is absolutely perfect. Always good to have a few 'encouraging' cards in your stash for when you want to lift someone's spirits.

*sigh* It's perfect! I love the orange glasses and I love it with that sentiment. That was smart to cut away the original sentiment from the glasses...I've selectively colored it, but it's a pain. I didn't even think of cutting it (duh!)! Cool frame, too!
