{Paper Smooches} Chill Out, Dude + Giveaway Winner

Ahhh, the sun is finally out after almost two weeks. It's cold but feels so good after all that rain and gloom! I hope you've all had a great start to your weekend. My son isn't feeling well so we're taking it easy with lots of painting, paper crafting and maybe a little shopping. I want to share a quick little card I made with the October release but didn't have a chance to share last month. It features the walrus from Chilly Chums and a sentiment combined from Chilly Chums and Word Salad. I paper pieced the walrus in layers, stamped the shadow from Vogue Abode twice to create a wide enough base, stamped the sentiment and adhered the walrus with foam tape.

I can't thank you all enough for the lovely comments left on my previous post. It's a wonderful feeling to know that I have so many friends in this industry and that my work makes you smile!

Well, I must announce the winner of my Paper Smooches giveaway. The right answer to my trivia question is Santa but I suppose it's questionable as to whether Jerome the gnome is a human, too. I don't think witches are human unless they are humans dressed as witches, like on Halloween. LOL I would've loved to have included all the monster characters, too, but I made that card at 2:00 a.m. and was way too tired to colour and cut everyone! That would've been one massive card. Alas, the lucky winner is:

Congratulations, Lynn! Please email me with your mailing address and choice of a Paper Smooches stamp set so we can get that out to you right away!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

That oval from Vogue Abode really is a must-have, isn't it? So perfect to anchor an image. Great card, Em! Sorry to hear that D. is under the weather... the annual post-Halloween bug?

What a great idea to double-stamp the shadow - even the slightly different inking created even more of a realistic look. MUST DO THIS! And as for this guy's expression....lol...what a great face!
I'm sorry D's not feeling well again - the first couple years of school are like that.
