I know this post is coming really late in the day so I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day with your loved ones! I wanted to share the cards and gifts I made for my son to hand out at school and also the cards my husband and I made for each other.
I recently bought my first Avery Elle stamp set, Lots of Love, and wanted to use it for a couple of projects. The sentiments on this set are so fun and perfect for us. There was one that totally cracked me up because I could imagine my son saying it even before he picked it as the one he wanted to put on his card to his classmates.
Here's what it looks like on the inside. He picked everything from the sentiments and heart to the ink colours and layout. There was no way I could get him to stamp so many so I decided to do it. You know, because I enjoy stamping so much. ;)
I figured everyone else was going to give out candy so I decided to print off some cute colouring and math sheets from Pink Cat Studio. They are free to download, a great learning activity to occupy your kids for a little while this weekend! I personalized each sheet so that the kids and parents would know who they came from.
I used Lots of Love again to make my husband's card. My son was pressuring me to hurry up and craft with him so this was what I could make in 30 minutes. I paired it up with a world map embossing folder and the Notebook Basic Die from Paper Smooches. Then I tied it off with some black burlap string and added a wood veneer heart.
Lastly, I wanted to share the adorable card that my husband made me using two stamp sets from Paper Smooches, Cuteasaurus and Alphadot. I grinned from ear to ear when he handed it to me. I was going through a lot of ups and downs emotionally today and he really cheered me up and made me feel special. Even cuter was when he said, "Do you know how I made it?" "Yes, I love how you used the dots!" "I wish I had stamped the sentiment better but I think I chose a good pattern for the dinosaur." "It's perfect!" "Did you notice that I cut out the eyes and teeth, too?" "I love how he's chomping on the heart." Heehee.
Happy Valentine's Day! :)

All your Valentine cards are great but I really loved the card your husband made - you've taught him well :0)
Love your cards! You've done amazing work with the new sets... love the twine/heart. Love the background too. So cool that your hubby made a card. xoxo Happy Valentine's Day!
I love that sentiment that Damian picked too! And those sheets from PCS almost have me wishing my kids were little again. Almost ;) lol And your hubby's card...sigh. You do know that we're all jealous he does that, right? Although if my husband touched anything on my desk I'd be awfully suspicious about it... :)
I love the cute sentiment Damian used for his cards. Your hubby's card is just too, too sweet - I think he's a keeper!!
Wow...great projects!!! Lee-Ann :)
Your classroom valentines and your card are fantastic! It is SO super sweet that your husband made your card and it turned out super cute, too!
Great valentines! I love them, I bet they were a big hit!
All of these projects are adorable, Emily! It sounds like you had a fun day with your family on Valentine's Day!
Happy Vday to you. Your husband's card is so cute and detailed. I can't believe his paper piecing skill. AMAzing.
So you know I ALWAYS show my husb when yours makes you a card, right? :D I did get a very sweet Mickey card, though, so it's all good. Love D's cards... a few short years and he likely won't go anywhere near something even close to that mushy. And yours for your guy is, of course, perfect. :)
Hehe so cute! Love the dino one :D
So nice that your hubby made you a card. Love the notebook die you used on your card. The kids Valentines is a great idea.
Great Valentine's cards! Each of them are gorgeous! I like the one you made for your son's classmates the most!
Gorgeous card Emily. I like the new stamps, twine and the wood heart. Sweet cards by your hubby too:)
The Valentine's cards for your son's class are so cute, and I like that you personalized them for each kid. They must have loved that! The card you made for your husband is stunning...I spent a good minute looking at it. :) And that was so sweet that he made a PS card for you. He knows what you like! ;)
Adorable projects Emily! I love the 2nd project! That card is so sweet! And I really love the embossed backround!
