{Paper Smooches} DT Blog Hop(e)

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We would like to take this time to tell the women in our lives how very special they are to us. Please make sure to have a thorough check up every year because we love you dearly. We would like you to all please visit our design team blogs and say hello. We all created a special project using the Hope stamp set and Hope dies to show our support.

I made a set of 3.5" x 5" note cards and they all feature something different. The first card has a window die cut with the Bam Bubble dies. The vellum sentiment strip was die cut with the smallest of the Flag Tags dies and adhered between the front of the card and the pink die cut which is popped up with foam tape. The pink boxing glove from the Hope stamp set is stamped on the inside of the card.

This second card has a pink glitter cardstock panel under the Thanks Word die. It's such a simple card but the glitter really makes it shine. I channelled my teamie, and CAS darling, Laura Bassen's style a bit for these first two cards. ;)

For the third card, I adhered strips of Scor-Tape to the base of the card behind the die cut Hope ribbon and sprinkled pink microbeads on to the tape. The beads give this card an irresistible texture.

For my fourth and final card, I tried Jennifer McGuire's stacked die cut technique. It's brilliant and a lot easier than adhering minuscule pieces of foam tape to the die! I didn't stamp a background but I did complete the phrase "love, faith, hope" using the Hope stamp set and Hope word die.

Now that I've given you a few ideas to create cards using the Hope stamp set and Hope dies, did you know that Splitcoaststampers hosts Hope You Can Cling To Challenges every October? Participants have so much fun and are eligible to win a ton of prizes. The cards you make can be mailed to MD Anderson where they will be distributed to cancer patients and their families. It's an incredible cause to be a part of. That's where my cards will be headed. :)

Feel free to visit the National Breast Cancer Society to see how you can make a difference. Thank you so much for joining us!

Pretty cards. It's a shame that we need stamps for such a terrible disease but they will cheer up anybody who receives them.

CAS perfection, Em. The cards look deceptively simple, but have a lot of style to them. Such a sweet set to donate to an excellent cause!
