{Mama Elephant} Stamp Highlight: Fair Feathers + Gradient Stamping Video!

This is my second post of the day.

It's Day 3 of the Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights for the November Release and today the design team is featuring Fair Feathers. I was delighted that you all loved my Stampede card so much! There were a few requests for a video tutorial on how I created my gradient glitter feathers so here it is:

For my first card, I use the gradient/rolling technique to stamp each feather in two tones of pigment inks. This gives them a natural look with some depth which is perfect for a one-layer card.

My second card demonstrates how I created my November Stampede card. It uses the same gradient/rolling technique as the first card but instead uses a glue pad and glitter instead of ink. It's not simply a matter of inking up the base of the stamp. The pressure used makes a difference in the amount of glitter that adheres to the different areas of the stamp.

This technique results in visually stunning cards and I'm sure that once you give it a try, you'll be as addicted as I am! Feel free to link up to anything you create using this technique and I'll be sure to stop by for a look. :)

Please be sure to visit the rest of the design team to see what they came up with using Fair Feathers.

See you tomorrow for Day 4 of the Stamp Highlights!
