{Paper Smooches} Birthday Wishes
Today was my Mom's birthday but it was a bittersweet and melancholy occasion as it was also her brother's funeral. :( I don't think anything could've cheered her up, understandably so, but I made her a bright and happy card nonetheless. I used several Paper Smooches dies including Big Bloom and Reflections Flowers for the flower, Reflections Graphics for the leaves and Borders 1 for the anchor. I masked off 'belated' from Word Salad and stamped 'birthday wishes' on the Streamers die. The textured Bazzill cardstock I used was formerly sold in the Paper Smooches online store but you can now find smooth and some textured versions at Simon Says Stamp.
A lot of snow is expected tonight, followed by freezing rain. I hope that I don't wake up to another ice storm. If I disappear again for an extended period, you'll know why! Yikes!!!

Happy birthday to your Mom Emily. Her card is beautiful. So sorry to hear about your uncle. Thinking of your family. xoxo
So sorry to hear about your loss...I'm sure your Mom loves your gorgeous card.
So sorry to hear about the passing of your uncle. Prayers are coming your way! I am sure your mom founds some comfort in your very pretty card. My parents told me you TO is being hit again with bad weather...say warm.
I'm so sorry that your mom's birthday has been masked by sorrow, but I'm sure she will appreciate all the love you put into this card, Emily! It really is so pretty!
Good luck to you with all the snow and ice coming your way...I'll cross my fingers that your power will remain intact this time...Hugs to you!
What a pretty and bright card for your mom, Em. Hope it brought a little sunshine into a tough day for both of you.
Wonderful bright card. And sending hugs.
This card is so pretty and has a great color scheme. I love the mix of bold colors. I'm sure your mom appreciated it, even though it was a hard day. Big hugs to all of you.
It's a very pretty birthday card, hun! And my condolences to you, your mom, and your family. Such a difficult time, I know.
