{Paper Smooches} January Projects

Today, I'm sharing the last of my Paper Smooches design team projects using the January release. This first card features the Scalloped Circle and Hello Words dies. To create the flowers, I die cut two different sizes of scalloped circles from crepe paper and folded them in quarters. I inserted the smaller quadrants inside the larger ones.

I stamped the dandelion from Botanicals 1 directly on the front of the flowers with three green Memento Luxe inks. I added the friend sentiment from Just a Note beneath the die cut hello, and the flourishes are from Bee Mine, Hullabaloo and Sunny Side Up.

This second card is on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It uses the new Speech Bubbles dies, and Captured Moments and Just a Note stamp sets. All of the birds and marine life are from Surf and Turf, Briny Blue and Wicked Nauticool. I thought it would be fun to tell an encouraging or congratulatory story using just stamping and no colouring. Ocean colours were added by sponging the edges of the bubbles with distress inks, from light to dark, as the eyes move down the card.

Please join us for our monthly blog hop on Thursday starting at the Paper Smooches Blog! Friday is the February Release party on the Splitcoaststampers Forum. I will also be posting the next video installment in my Die Versatility Series later today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
