{Mama Elephant} Designer Series: On Point Borders + Video!
Today's my feature day on the Mama Elephant Blog and I'm showcasing the On Point Borders stamp set. When I use border stamps, I typically use them as accents and this is exactly what I've done here. I used it to stamp a background pattern on to patterned paper from Monte Paper Mill's Hello Darling 6x6 paper pad.
Then I cut the larger of the Femme Frames dies from crepe paper, scrunching it in the centre and adhering it to the stamped background. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Make a Wish directly on to a panel cut from the smaller of the Femme Frames dies.
After adhering the top panel to the crepe paper layer, I die cut some woodgrain stars using the Confetti die. I added a foil cardstock layer behind those stars to create a shiny shadow. See how it all came together here:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a lovely and super wonderful card!! I love the way you made your top panel shorter but kept the stitched edge!! And the shine under the wood grain stars is just cool!! I LOVE this!!
Beautiful!
You have the most creative ideas, Emily! I love this card so much. Thanks for the video.
Such a gorgeous card, Em. The crepe paper looks so cool -- almost a cross between tissue and vellum. Scrunches nicely, too. ;)
This card is just so pretty! The colors are soft and elegant, and the layout is gorgeous!
Hi Emily. I am new to your blog and Youtube channel, but I really enjoy watching them and seeing you make your gorgeous cards. This card is just wonderful. I love the papers, the stamps and the way you put them all together. Really very stunning card. Hugs Lisa G
I like the shiny shadows - I done this the other way around - I need to try this now!

I love how you paired your stamps on this card, and the soft, subtle color palette is just beautiful!
Thanks so much for all the tips you gave us during the video...and congrats again on your 800 subbies on YT!!!
Once again your video contains so many little tips that I need to view it more than once. I especially like how you figure out how to measure spaces to balance out your design. Taping off the stamp, inking and THEN untaping the stamp before positioning it on the card is a great way to get the design exactly in the right place and with no stray marks. Thanks for all the new techniques. I've been crafting and stamping for most of my life and yet I am still learning something new from your videos. Amazing!
That was a really nice card! Thanks for the video.
I don't have a facebook page anymore.:(
