Hi, everyone! It's Day 1 of Neat & Tangled's January Release and, today, the design team is featuring the Be My Valentine and Falling Hearts stamp sets, as well as the Full of Love Sequin Mix.
I have two cards for you today, and this first one features both stamp sets. I adore Danielle's calligraphy so I had to feature the largest sentiment from Be My Valentine. Plus, I added the little (please) underneath for added emphasis. It's so adorable! I stamped the words in Versafine Smokey Gray to keep the colour palette soft and pretty.
I selectively inked the Falling Hearts, stamping the top portion twice at the top of the card. After cleaning the stamp, I repeated the process using the bottom portion of the stamp to stamp hearts on the bottom of the card. I used Versamark ink so I could heat emboss the hearts in silver glitter.
All of the patterned papers on both cards are from Amy Tangerine's Stitched 6x6 paper pad. These papers are so amazing that I might have to get a second pad. I love that the colours and patterns are perfectly coordinated, yet I could easily come up with two completely different colour palettes using the same pad.
This second card is in my favourite card size which is 3.25" x 6.5". I haven't made one in a long time and I had a lot of fun creating this one! I started by cutting a front card panel and adhering angled strips of grey-toned patterned papers to it. Then I stamped the bird and sentiment, and die cut the speech bubble from it, keeping the positive piece for the background.
I'm crazy about shakers these days so I had to use the new Full of Love Sequin Mix in a shaker. I used the A Lot to Say Nice and Neat Die, along with balloons, strings and sentiment from Just for You, and the bird from Swirly Twirly Tags.
All release products will be available for purchase on Friday and I'll be updating my links at that time. See you tomorrow!
