Have you heard that Ellen Hutson is hosting bi-weekly challenges on their blog? We are into the final four days of the inaugural challenge, which requires mixing Essentials by Ellen product with Hero Arts product! You can check out the details and link up in the CLASSroom.
I watercoloured the branches by leaving the die cuts in the negative panel and just blotting distress inks with a small brush. I used my heat tool to speed up the drying process, painting the leaves first, followed by the branches.
I used micro and mini glue dots to adhere the diamonds to the leaves and the leaves to the card. I also used a Zig glue pen for the tiny branches along the right edge of the card. I used mini clothespins to hold the pieces in place while the glue dried.
I hope you'll play along for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson! Perhaps a little shopping for future challenges? Hee.

Such a great idea to use the gems as flowers! Love the soft watercolours (which I now know are your faves!) and I had no idea there were micro glue dots - must have!
Totally gorgeous, I may have to link up! You have inspired me!!!
Dude, like I said when I first saw this over on Instagram. Wowza. This is fantastic! Love every single part of this creation... The design, the colors, the watercoloring, the die cuting... The patterned paper on the right! It's just fab!
A real gem, Emily... no pun intended...

You could always send it to me. LOL! The diamonds-as-buds is such a brilliant idea. The watercolouring is gorgeous and the patterned paper just right. Of course. :)
