{Waffle Flower Video} Guest Designer Post

I'm excited to be guesting on the Waffle Flower blog today with this Chinese New Year card and video! I wanted to use the monkeys from Willy & Friends with the Christmas set Stocking and a sentiment from Congrats to show how versatile all of these sets can be.

I coloured the monkeys and gift/red envelope with Copic markers and die cut them with their coordinating dies. Then I tied gold string around the red envelope, heat embossed the sentiment in gold and painted the edges of the card base with black gesso. After assembling the card, I added a yellow enamel heart to the girl monkey's belly. I'll have to make a bunch more of these cuties to send out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is perhaps the cutest Chinese New Year card ever! The gift works perfectly as a traditional red envelope. And those monkeys are so sweet! Also, I need to add that embossing powder to my wish list, so pretty!
