I'm so excited to be guesting for My Favorite Things' Wednesday Sketch Challenge this month! This week, we're kicking things off with a fun sketch that could be interpreted in so many ways. I decided to make a non-traditional holiday card for a friend who loves tea, cats and reading. The stamped images are from Our Story - my favourite from this month's release - and since I didn't have the dies, I decided to mask all six images together, colour and fussy cut them as a single piece to mimic the pink panel on the sketch. See how it all came together here:
I created the rectangular frame using the two largest Double Stitched Rectangles STAX. Then I partially dry embossed the centrepiece using the Star Grid Cover-Up. I kept the bottom part flat so I could stamp the sentiment.
I also used the Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Window & Edge for dry embossing the left side of the card base. I used it again to die cut red glitter cardstock, which mimics the scalloped portion of the sketch. All of the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and coloured with Copic markers. Then I used a Wink of Stella Brush on all of the red images.
I hope you'll play along with us this week! Simply link up your creations HERE for a chance to win up to $20 to spend at the My Favorite Things store.
