{Spellbinders} Folk Art Collection by Lene Lok Release: Day 2

Today, I'm sharing another Spellbinders project featuring the new Folk Art Collection by Lene LokLast week, on the Spellbinders blog, I used the Nordic Blooms and Nordic Floral dies to create an oval wreath. These dies are so cute and it was fun to sponge all of these unique colour combinations to create one-of-a-kind florals and foliage.

I used five of the six flowers from Nordic Blooms to create the main elements of the wreath. I die cut two to three of each flower and arranged them on a mock layout. Then I used daubers and distress inks to colour the flowers.

The tiny green leaves were cut from the leaves of one of the flowers from the Nordic Floral set. All of the vellum leaves are from the foliage dies from Nordic Blooms. I tucked both the green leaves and vellum leaves between the flowers to create dimension and add visual interest.

Before adhering the wreath, I used coordinating distress inks to sponge around the base of the card. Then I heat embossed the sweet sentiments from Altenew's Extra Special directly on to the white linen panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this project featuring dies from the Folk Art Collection by Lene Lok and I hope to see you again tomorrow with more inspiration from this collection!
