{Lawn Fawn} Christmas 2018 Teacher Gifts

A couple of days ago, I shared an in-process photo on Instagram and here are the finished gift boxes with assorted Lindt chocolate balls inside! My son loves handing out holiday treats to his teachers and it's fun to make them several times a year. Lawn Fawn's adorable stamps and dies make it easy to create perfectly-themed gift boxes.

As you know, my son is in his third year of piano lessons. He also started playing percussion in September after a fun week at summer band camp which got him hooked. The little boy elf and drum from Holiday Helpers with the music stand and sheet music from Critter Concert represent his new-found passion perfectly! All I had to do was add a speech bubble and sentiment from Say What? Christmas Critters with the stage curtains from the Shadow Box Card Theater Add-On for the perfect stage. I was delighted to discover that the whole scene fit perfectly on the Goodie Bag.

I was able to fit four chocolate Lindt balls of various flavours in each bag and secured them with 12" of silver metallic string from May Arts Ribbon.

{Two Many Cards Video Series} featuring Flora & Fauna + Giveaway!

Hi, everyone! Kalyn and I are back with our video series, Two Many Cards. If you missed our other videos in this series, check out the original post HERE, which explains how and why we're sharing our own unique take on the same products.

Today, we're featuring the super fun and whimsical Animal Sweaters by Flora & Fauna! These stamps and dies are also sold separately at Ellen Hutson and you can find those links below.

I created a tall 3.25" x 6.5" card to show movement via ombre colours, starting with the lightest shades at the top and darkest colours at the bottom.  The dressed up pug is so adorable, isn't he? I just love the tiny little sweater and antlers with crystal star sequins!

In addition to the change in colours, I also positioned the gifts so that they would appear to be changing and 'moving' as the eyes travel down the card, as if that little pug is telling a story via the sentiment. The contrast between the smooth images against the linen card base is a nice contrast and adds more visual interest to this clean and simple design.

{Technique Tuesday} 2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello, coffee loving friends! I'm joining the 2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with a fun card featuring six Technique Tuesday products. You know I'm addicted to the new Beau & Beatrice Beaver stamp set and coordinating dies. This time, I created some gift-wrapped logs for Beau to stand on.

Once again, I masked the toque from Hello Winter, as well as the mug from Sassy Girl Thoughts. The sentiment is from Christmas Cocoa and the textured background was made using the Sweater Weather Crafting Die.

{Technique Tuesday} December 2018 Release Day!

Welcome to Technique Tuesday's December 2018 Release Day! The design team is featuring a variety of release products and you're sure to love them so be sure to head over to the Technique Tuesday blog for the full reveal and links to all of the amazing projects. All of the amazing new products are now available for purchase!

Since my design team package is stuck somewhere in the Canada Post rotating strikes, I'm once again showcasing the Beau & Beatrice Beaver stamp set and coordinating dies. Since I already used this set on Day 1, I wanted to take it a step further and show you how to use it as a holiday set!

I created masks of the toque from Hello Winter to put holiday toques on the beavers. Then I coloured them with Copic markers and used the coordinating beaver dies to partially die cut the body up to the ears. Then I used scissors to trim around the toques and now the beavers look as if they were created with the toques.

I used one of the sentiments from Beau & Beatrice Beaver and merged it with two different scripted sentiments from Classic Christmas to create a custom sentiment.

To finish, I used the branch as mistletoe and added silver string by May Arts Ribbon, plus red crystals and sparkling clear sequins by Studio Katia to increase the holiday factor.
