Canadian Thanksgiving Cards feat. Spellbinders

Hello, crafty friends! It's Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. We have a four-day weekend and we're visiting my mother-in-law. In honour of the cooler weather that's arriving just in time for this weekend, I have three fall cards in an unusual colour palette. I actually started working on these a year ago but put them away and recently came across the pile while destashing my craft room!

All three cards feature the Crossed Lines Cardfront and I heat foiled the lines on Rose Water cardstock using Matte Silver Hot Foil. I used the Precision Layering A2 A Dies to trim the panel but I don't attach it to the card base until the fall elements are attached.

I die cut the glimmer elements from Glimmering Autumn Woods (more inspiration HERE) in white linen, Rose Water, Peridot, Midnight Green, Sea Glass, Fog and Pebble. I obviously only featured a few of the white linen and Fog pieces here.

I popped all the pieces on to the Rose Water panel with foam squares and trimmed off the overhanging pieces. Then attached the panel to the card base.

I heat foiled the sentiment from Glimmering Autumn Woods using Matte Silver Hot Foil on Midnight Green cardstock and trimmed it using a die from Mini Sincere Sentiments. I popped on the sentiment using foam strips and embellished the card with a few Oyster Pearl Dots.

My second card (and favourite of the three) features the Crossed Lines Cardfront heat foiled with Opal Hot Foil on Neenah white linen cardstock. I fell in love with this cardstock (and it's my most-stocked) via Ellen Hutson but now I'm happy to be able to source it locally at Spicers, thanks to my friend Karen.

I trimmed off a quarter inch of the white panel and attached it to a Sea Glass card base. Then I cascaded many of the fall elements from Glimmering Autumn Woods in Rose WaterMidnight GreenSea Glass and Pebble.

The sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say and it was heat foiled using Matte Silver Hot Foil on Midnight Green cardstock and trimmed using a die from Mini Sincere Sentiments

The elements were attached using foam squares and I popped on the sentiment using foam strips. To finish, I embellished the card with a few Oyster Pearl Dots.

I really love the layout of this card and can see myself using this design again with different products. What do you think?

This last card is more bold because it features a Midnight Green background which has the Crossed Lines Cardfront, again heat foiled with Opal Hot Foil. I love the subtle effect of opal hot foil on just about any cardstock!

This time, I chose a thanks sentiment from Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments and repeated it using Matte Silver Hot Foil on white linen, Fog and Pebble cardstock. The ombre order from light to dark adds visual interest.

I arranged the fall elements, featured here in Rose WaterPeridotSea Glass and Fog, in more of a close-knit format rather than a linen cascading format like the previous card.

You may have noticed that some of the fall elements from Glimmering Autumn Woods have more sparkle than others. The reason for this is that those were heat foiled with Speckled Prism Hot Foil and the others were heat foiled with Matte Silver Hot Foil.

To finish this card, the sentiments and some of the elements were popped up on foam squares. I added tiny Oyster Pearl Dots to the centres of the flowers but offset them slightly so the Speckled Prism Hot Foil would still show up.
